The Best Fryer Available! PERIOD!
So this is my second one of these. YES! I bought a second one and didn’t even try to “shop” for a different brand. You may be wondering why I bought two? Well, I lost the first one in my divorce to the wife so......had to get one for myself. This thing is big enough to make a meal for the entire family. When I was married, we got a cheap one from a store just to try the “new fad” air fryer. They are awesome but, it was so small I could only cook 8 or so chicken nuggets for the kids. Which means I had to do this twice. Once for each kid (I have 2) and then again if I wanted some. This model solves that problem. Also, all the parts (except the lid) are dishwasher safe so cleaning is a breeze. Put the glass bowl in upside down and your good to go. Basket and racks are stainless steel so they’re in there as well. If I wanted to be nit picky, the only negative thing I can say about this is that the glass top does not come off of the cooking unit. What does this mean? It means when you need to clean the lid, you have to be careful, unplug the unit, and don’t use a wet rag. Use a damp towel. If you need soap, use light soap and a damp towel to wipe off the soap. Quick tip, reheating pizza in this is fantastic. Just wet your hand, wipe some water on the top of the crust, (so it doesn’t get hard) and put it on the rack. Another tip, if you do hotdogs or sausages or bacon, save yourself some cleaning time by putting a microwave safe plate or aluminum foil in the bottom to catch all the grease that drips. I use this everyday and if you have kids, it’s a real time saver. Reheating fries from McDonald’s is amazing. If you let McDonald’s fries get cold, they are horrible. Reheating in a microwave makes them rubber and in an oven makes them hard. Five to ten minutes in one of these makes them like you just bought them at the drive thru.

This thing is in constant use during the summer because we live in the desert and naturally avoid firing up the oven (but, hey, come winter- we don't shovel sunshine and heat, right?). We've had this for about a year and half and we really enjoy it. It is a wonderful tool for preparing low fat vegan foods (seasoned French fries), high fat vegan foods (seasoned French Fries tossed in olive oil), and really amazing steaks (we usually sear thick steaks in a hot cast iron skillet with butter then finish in the Big Boss). One of the features I like is the metal extender that allows you to control how close your food is to the heat source because the foods on top brown much faster than the foods on the bottom. The extender just allows another level of control, and it stows neatly and discretely around the base of the glass bowl when not in use (nice design). I like the Big Boss, but in the winter I go back to using my oven because I like having the space and enjoy the heat and smells rolling out of my kitchen. I use it more during the holidays when all the kitchen gadgets come alive to create one culinary extravaganza after another (Christmas comes but once a year, right?). So we use the Big Boss through the summer and pull it back out during the holidays. It's easy to clean and easy to use. Five Stars.

Great Pruchase
This a a very nice product, It was replace by a Nuwave, the features that make it superior are the glass versus polycarbonate dome (it yellowed and cracked in numerous places. It is much more expensive cooker. I love you can cook at higher temperatures. The safety handle that you raise or lower is a very nice feature. I have ready used this cooker twice since purchase. I have prepared Barbeque baby back ribs, baked fruit cobbler and Buttermilk biscuits from scratch, cooks fast with out comprising quality or flavor of your desire dish. I would highly recommend to add this to your kitchen. It is well worth it.

Not perfect, but overall I'm happy!
I have a small, poorly ventilated apartment, and cooking in my regular oven is kind of a pain, so I decided to try this convection oven as a substitute. I was concerned I wouldn't actually use it often, but I find myself using it quite a bit actually. Pros: - Transparent bowl means you can see your food cooking and make adjustments, unlike the basket-style air fryers - Heats up quickly, and the temperature gauge seems accurate - Bowl is tall enough to cook multiple levels of food (though you have to plan for food that will work well with that method, like potatoes on the bottom level and meat on top) - No oil needed for crispy food - I've had good results roasting vegetables in particular Cons: - It's HUGE, heavy, and would be a massive pain to store and take out if you don't have counter space for it. I leave it out on my counter all the time, and the footprint is pretty large, but it's a section of counter I don't use a ton anyway. - Kind of a pain to clean. As mentioned, the bowl is big and heavy and doesn't fit in the dishwasher. As long as I get to it right after I've cooked, cleaning it by hand isn't too bad. I have no idea how I'm going to clean the heating element, but so far it hasn't been a big problem. - Hard to cook a large batch of anything. I can reasonably make a meal for 2-3 in one go (ex, pork loin roast on top rack, bell peppers and winter squash underneath), but when I tried to make a bigger batch of chicken legs, rotating them halfway, they didn't get very crisp and I ended up overcooking them. So far I haven't had any concerns with it overheating, but I keep the lid clear so it ventilates properly, and I don't know if it's necessary but I keep silicone baking mats underneath to protect the countertop. I haven't had to turn my oven on since I bought it, so as long as it keeps performing at this level I'm happy!

Great value for machine that does so much!
I purchased this after my daughter received a Big boss oil-less fryer from her husband. She went on and on about what she made in it, how quick it is and delicious everything was. So I ordered one. My Big Boss oil-less air fryer arrived last night and so far I have made orange rolls and baked butternut squash. Both came out perfect in less time. Tonight, I'm make bbq chicken in my Big Boss. I have been on youtube to see what else the Big Boss can do. It can cook steaks, pot roast, fish, pork chops, pork roast, ribs, whole chicken and pieces, scallops, shrimp, chimichangas, pazookies, hard boiled eggs, omelettes, bacon, sausage, meatballs, meatloaf, homemade bread, rolls, biscuits, cookies, pizzas, cornbread, tuna melts, hot ham and cheese,...... You do need to flip halfway through. It's easy to use and clean.

I love This!
Great product: Manufacturers customer service sucks. See 2nd update below. Great product! It can cook anything. From chicken to a cake. It is a simple convection oven using a halogen bulb for the heat source. Update: I still love this thing! I have made meatballs, meatloaf, chickens, steak, roast, vegetables, homemade french fries and lots more. The photo is of 10 large chicken breasts that I cooked in 20 minutes. Update: in the beginning of December the halogen light burned out. I contacted the manufacturer. On December 10, they took my information and said they would send out a replacement and I could return the other one in the box. Called back on December 21st, they said my return had not been processed and They should be sending it out into or three days. I called back on January 5, and they said I had to return the top first then they would send me a new unit. Parentheses yes this makes sense, but they never mentioned it). So I still like the fryer and I sent the top back via UPS and we'll see how things go. I really really really really miss this thing.

Very good -- except for the racks
EDIT January 5, 2024. It broke already, less than 6 months of use. I noticed when I lifted the top to turn over my steaks. Normally, lifting the head unit using the handle causes the handle to raise and the unit to shut off. Raising the handle no longer causes the unit to shut off!!!!! I cook steaks in this. After a bit of a learning curve as to time/temp it does a pretty good job of producing medium rare. I find it works best when cooking from frozen. A note on the glass bowl, it's very easy to chip the edges, especially when washing in a large, enamel sink. Maybe a stainless sink would be a little easier on it, a little less apt to chip the glass if you manage to tap it, but anyway what I do now is leave it in the plastic holder, place it in the sink, carefully wash and rinse, etc. That all being said, one night I left the high cooking rack soaking in a couple of inches of soapy water. (The rack was upside down of course.) The next morning it was rusty. A week or so later I left it again, and next morning it was very rusty. The metal is some kind of cheap white metal, and who knows if it's toxic. It leaves greenish color on paper towels used to wipe off excess grease, and on the sponge. The photo shows partially washed rack. Just wanted to let people know the rack is made of some kind of cheap metal, and I am now looking for an actual stainless steel replacement.

This air fryer is huge!
The unit arrived very well packaged, and as I was unpacking it, I was surprised at how large the fryer actually is! I've read many reviews of other units where the buyer complains of how small their air fryer is, and being my first air fryer purchase I didn't want to make that mistake, but I might have gone too far with this one. The glass bowl is very heavy, and upon inspection, I noticed a small crack in the bottom that appeared to go all the way through the glass. I decided to try it out anyway, and make french fries. Cutting up the potatoes and following the instructions on the control panel, they turned out very tasty, but not crisp. I think that I just need to make adjustments to the recipe cooking times. The control panel is very easy to use, and the switch that's build into the lid handle is smart. Cleaning: While the clean up of the racks (that go in the bowl) was easy, the bowl itself is so huge that it barely fits into my very large kitchen sink. And it's so heavy that I worry it will slip out of my hands, hit the edge of the sink, and break. So it's kind of a beast to clean. Cooking and cleaning didn't affect the crack in the bowl, but I worry that the crack may grow over time. It also wouldn't fit into any of my kitchen cabinets, so its temporary home is on top of the china cabinet. I think if you have the space and plan to use an air fryer to cook a very large batch of food at once, or a very large item, then this might be the one for you. I think that more of a medium size fryer would have been better for me.

Love it!
Love this Air Fryer and would highly recommend it. It cooks meals quickly and well. I made roast chicken and fries and the skin on the chicken was super crispy and the meat was moist and tender. Fries were delicious in less than 20 mins. I also love the fact that it’s glass and not plastic. Also it’s easy to clean and I love the simple settings.

Well designed product. The stainless steel and glass design is a big bonus. The large cooking area is big enough for many cooking needs. Great kitchen cooking tool.
