Actually works - Highly Recommend
This product actually works. I saw a recommendation on an online forum that specialized in Migraines. If you know what Reddit is it is the sub-reddit r/migraine. I've been taking it for around three weeks. My migraine pain has gone from a level 6-7 to a 0 or 3 at most. I haven't even been taking it for the three months as the company suggests for full effect and I'm already satisfied with the results. I'm actually extremely excited this product works. I've had migraines since childhood. I've been to a neurologist and have been prescribed Sumatriptin 100mg as an abortive for years. I knew I was taking this medicine too much and could not stand the side effects. I would give this supplement a chance. It has completely changed my life. I do not wake up with a migraine nor do I get one from normal triggers any longer. I wholly recommend this product. It has been an absolute life saver. I am much more productive without migraines. Give this product a try. UPDATE: I've been taking this product for almost a year now and continue to be very satisfied. I must admit it was a strange feeling when I started to feel "normal" again. I know it's a little pricey but is worth the return to sanity. The side effects are minimal and really end up being minor annoyances, sometimes I get a slight ringing in the ears, and that's all that I can think of. I was taking propranolol before this as a preventative and compared to that this is nothing. I actually ended up in the ER because of that stuff. The return to feeling like a regular human being cannot be measured or described specifically in my experience. It is really a journey into itself if you are a long time migraine sufferer. This combination of ingredients works well. What do you have to lose?

After 30 years of migraines, something that works
Skeptical, life-long migraine sufferer that I am, I waited four months to write this review. I almost feel as if I'm jinxing myself, but here goes: this product works. I don't have the time to list the many, many, many things I have tried and that have failed. From beta blockers, calcium channel blockers, and tricyclic antidepressants to acupuncture, TENS, and biofeedback I have tried it all. I have seen prominent neurologists on both coasts. And still I had headaches most days. I even had tried each and every one of the ingredients in these capsules -- at the same dosage as these capsules -- nothing. However, after taking Preventa Migraine for about two months, I began to notice that maybe I wasn't having as many migraines as I used to and I was cautiously optimistic. I kept taking them and can now say that I really do feel better than I did before I started taking them. I have fewer headaches, and the ones I do have respond better to less sumatriptan. Yes, butterbur can upset one's stomach, but interestingly enough I have had no problems with this formulation, whereas the expensive German Petadolex capsules I had taken previously made me burp profusely. I should add that I also take additional high quality supplements and eat a very careful diet that is grain free; the only sugars I eat come from fruit and vegetables. I feel well enough now that I have been able to reintroduce a previous migraine trigger: red wine (in small quantities, of course). I no longer get the terrible histamine reaction and migraine that I used to get with alcohol and particularly with red wine. That makes some sense to me, as butterbur is also used in treating allergies. Preventa Migraine has increased my quality of life tremendously, and I am beyond thrilled to have finally found something that helps my migraines. The company doesn't offer any coupons or freebies for a positive review on Amazon or elsewhere.

Must buy for anyone with frequent migraines!
I've tried many of the migraine-prevention remedies out there, but none of them come close to effectiveness than Preventa Migraine. I used to have migraines every two weeks or so, more frequently if I was especially tired or worn out. My migraines did not last long (5-6 hours), but they were painful, intense, and often forced me to sleep for the entire day because they made me so tired afterward. Even with Extra Strength Excedrin, some of the migraines I had were not mitigated. That's why I tried this wonderful product, and I'm ecstatic to say that I've only had two, weak migraines in the past two months, even though I have been more physically tired and worn out. I take two every day, and they have worked wonders. I get the aura (weird vision and blurring before a migraine attack) and have to take excedrin right when it starts to see some effect of the excedrin. But sometimes when I get a migraine at night, I don't get the chance to take the pills, and I get the full migraine. With Preventa Migraine, I have not had to take Excedrin, and the migraine, even with the aura, passed as a minor to mild headache rather than an incapacitating migraine attack. One of them was during the night, and I noticed that I had a migraine coming while I was sleeping, but thanks to the product, I was able to sleep it off (the pain only woke me up once, whereas with a full-on migraine I would not be able to sleep at all) and wake up feeling as if nothing had happened. The frequency of the migraines has also decreased, to about one a month rather than one every two weeks. I'm buying this again, and if you have migraines and don't like the side effects of Excedrin, this is an obvious choice!

Helps prevent migraines, but use with sensible caution.
I was glad to find a PA-free product. I've tried another combination of Butterbur and Fevefew before as a migraine treatment and preventative, and found it effective, but on learning that Butterbur contains toxic pyrrolizidine alkaloids (PAs) that can cause liver and kidney damage, and finding my blood pressure went up while using it, I decided migraines were preferable kidney and liver failure. My doctor had me try Zoloft as a migraine treatment, and it did nothing for migraines (mood is improved, though -- I still have headaches, I just feel more chipper about them). While waiting to see the doctor again, I found this product. I tried it and found that it worked within a few days, and I was only taking half-doses. While on this product I had no migraines, only slight head discomfort on some days. However, be aware that even PA-free Butterbur is not recommended for anyone who has liver or kidney issues, and may have health effects if taken for long periods of time. WebMD has some good information on Butterbur and its usage. In the end I decided that while it brought relief, it wasn't going to be my long-term solution. I'm working with my doctor on other medication, and keeping this on hand if the medications we're trying aren't effective. Follow-up May 2016 -- After trying various prescriptions including Zoloft (nice for mood issues, zero effect on migraines), Topamax (awful, awful, awful, no effect on migraines) and a few other things, my doctor suggested Migravent, a product similar to this one but without the Feverfew. It helped a bit, but when I went back to PreventaMigraine, I had much more relief. What's more -- my hot flashes have vanished! I found St. John's Wort had been preventing them before, but had to stop taking that because it can't be taken with Zoloft. Black Cohosh and mild hormone products barely did a thing, but the Feverfew seems to be doing the job! I'm with a neurologist now who's just started me on Botox injections, but I'm still on this product because so far it's the ONLY thing that has had any preventative effect at all. Migraineurs all know that everyone's migraines are individual. I suspect that the condition that we call "migraine" is actually several different conditions that all have a similar effect: raging head pain. Hence any one product will help some people but not all. This one is worth a try if it doesn't conflict with other medications one is already taking.

Amazing relief from constant sinus pressure, ear fullness and headaches
I have been having bad sinus pressure and headaches for a couple of years now especially in the spring. This year it started in January, I think a combo of stress from trying to heal from lumbar spine fusion surgery, stress and anxiety over my Grandmom's illness, and sinus/allergy issues plus weaning off all the pain meds I was on from surgery. It was constant. Allergy shots have done nothing to solve my problem. I had been on four rounds of strong antibiotics, oral steroids, liquid steroid in neti pot, nasal spray antihistamine, nasal spray steroid, and alternated between zyrtec and allegra (all of these failed). I had a sinus ct which for the most part looked good. My ENT offered to do a sinus balloon surgery to open it up some more. But he insisted that I see a neurologist first because he suspected I was having migraine. Migraine CAN cause sinus pressure and ear fullness. I saw a neurologist- a great dr. He told me to read a book Heal Your Headache and gave me Topamax. I took it for a month but the side effects were scary and not worth it so I tapered myself off quickly and it didnt help my problem. I decided to order Preventa Migraine off Amazon. I added it to my existing regimen of Claritin, Singulair, Flonase and Azelastin, twice daily nasal irrigation using the Neilmed squirt bottle with Alkalol and distilled water (never use tap water), and another old school over the counter antihistamine (the stuff in chlor trimeton). I did alot of research which pointed to the fact that my problem is histamine headaches. Proof of that is in the list of histamine producing foods that my childhood allergy tests showed I was allergic to. The day after Grandmoms funeral this arrived in the mail. I take it twice a day and have an extremely drastic reduction in pressure, ear fullness and headaches- when I say extreme I mean NONE- no pressure or ear fullness and rare headaches. I kept reading about these individual ingredients as a migraine preventative and was pleased to see that this combines all of those. Also Feverfew and Butterbur are good for natural allergy prevention. I didnt really think it was going to work for me. I am totally blown away. I started it the day after grandmoms funeral and notice extreme improvement within two days. I take it after breakfast and after dinner. I was extremely miserable and beside myself dealing with sinus migraines and work and my back and losing Grandmom. I am so much better now. And I am cancelling my future neurologist appts and cant wait to share this with my allergy dr and my ENT. Glad my ENT insisted that migraine was involved. Saved me from another sinus procedure. The neuro also agreed and said it was a combo of migraine and allergy sinus. This stuff seems to tackle both. Praise God and thank you!

) The combo most dr's I've seen recommend is 1) up to 600mg Mg (my research showed ...
Took for 2 months before reviewing, because sometimes it can take that long to see results. This didn't really do anything for me. I never get my hopes up anymore that something will "cure" my migraines. There's no one single cure because there's no one single trigger. (At least for me.) I tried it only because I already took Mg, Butterbur & B2 in this exact dose, so combining them into one pill was more convenient and also cheaper. (I'd already tried feverfew years ago with no result.) The combo most dr's I've seen recommend is 1) up to 600mg Mg (my research showed the citrate / dicitrate forms of Mg are gentlest on your stomach, as other forms can have a laxative effect. I found all forms ok, but even the citrate forms at 600 mg could have laxative effect) 2) 400 mg B2 or Riboflavin, which I have to order from Amazon to get in the recommended 400 mg dose - drug stores, supermarkets, GNC, and even other specialty vitamin stores near me all only have 100 mg tabs, 3) 400 mg CoQ10. I do a 200 mg in the a.m. and a 200 Ubiquinol at night, which is just the metabolized form, so your body can absorb it better. I was hopeful that the Butterbur would help, as it can help with both migraines and allergies, (a recent allergy test showed allergies to be one of my big triggers), but I didn't notice a difference. In fact, I agree with the other reviewer that it can have an constipating effect. Still this is a good buy and a cheaper option than taking the 4 ingredients separately. I might try again in the future for this reason, but for now will avoid it not only because of the butterbur side effect, but because the Feverfew and Butterbur don't do anything for me anyway.

Try it! It is Amazing!!!
So I have suffered from chronic headaches and migraines for about 4 years. I almost always have some kind of headache. I have tried what feels like a million things for my headaches and migraines and nothing has significantly helped. Other than actual pain medication (such as Excedrine, Tylenol, ibruprophren, and Aleve) and taking pain medication even just over the counter regularly actually perpetuates the cycle with headaches. I have been taking this for about a week and feel great! I actually noticed a difference within taking after just 30 mins! My pain clears up and so does the brain fog which the pain killers never did clear up. The headaches aren't completely gone but there is definetly significant relief and I have actually had a few headache free days this week. That in itself is a miracle! I feel like me again! Only drawbacks are that right before I need to take it again in the evening I get a weird cramp in my lower stomach or back but it goes away once I take it. And also the tension pain I have built up in my neck and back feels even more noticeable. But I use a Homeopathic muscle rub called Arnicare Gel. It works pretty good and doesn't have the strong methol smell that other muscle rubs have. And I'm hoping I can start getting massages regularly again for that. I had to stop because massage would trigger a migraine. I am also planning on picking up yoga regularly again and trying Acupunture. I'm hoping the combination will help me kick the headaches to the curb for good! Excited to be healthy and me again!!! ๐

Quality Ingredients But...
3.5 STARS. As with all my reviews I like to give credit where credit is due so I went 4 stars but this product is a solid 3.5 for my own personal brain. I bought these vitamins after my neurologist gave me a list of ingredients to look for. Given that this man is a well respected nero doc I was admittedly surprised when he told me that Butterbur and the other ingredients he suggested to me really do have an effect on migraine frequency and intensity. After a lot of research I decided that these vitamins were the winner, their ingredients are the most bio-available and safely sourced from those I had seen and, of course, the PA free was important as well. Here's the thing though, these vitamins are definitely not cheap, especially once you realize you have to take 2 everyday. The other issue is the size of the pills, I've always been able to take medicines in pill form pretty well but admittedly have problems when they get to the pre-natal vitamin size. These guys are no joke, they are rather large and got caught in my throat quite a few times. The bottom line for me though was the fact that it didn't effect my headaches. I keep a journal just to look for triggers, patterns etc. and was bummed when I realized I was taking just as much over the counter medicine alongside my Rx meds as before. I was just out the extra money and feeling like I had a hairball caught in my throat. That being said, everyone's constitution is different, and these might work for others' headaches- and I hope they do! *** Did you find this review helpful? I hope so!
