The first six original stories from the vintage golden years of the Hardy Boys Mystery series are attractively packaged with dust jackets. These original late 1920's to mid 1930's mystery stories are simply superior to the modern 'revised' versions. I purchased this set of the original six versions in order that my grandsons could enjoy these 'old school' young peoples' mysteries. I enjoyed the series when I was a boy.

Birthday gift for my 10 year old grandson who is an avid reader. Quality excellent and prior reviews helpful as I wanted more if the original themes and he told me he loved them. A wonderful classic and highly recommended

Probably cheaper if you track down each volume, but these are reprints of the original stories, not the rewritten versions that have different plots, more modern language, and lack the atmosphere and style of the original stories.

This box set is beautiful. I am really disappointed that the set I got waa crushed. The spines, box, and cover of books 1-7 are all damaged and bent. It was shipped with wonderful, crush-proof packaging, so I have to guess it happened at the warehouse. If I had bought this as a gift, I wouldn't be able to give it without being embarrassed.

0 of 5 stars. Secret of the Red Arrow starts out with a guy getting email videos of someone watching him sleep. This is not your wholesome Hardy Boys books from the past. Steer clear if you want to keep your kids minds safe. What a creepy thought to put in you young child's mind. Don't waste your money.
