This is my very first monitor and it’s surprisingly good. I make music, commentaries and i game a lot, so I was in need of a monitor. It takes up a lot of space on my desk, my desk is about 5ft to 6 ft wide. I did a lot of research before I bought it (4 months before I bought it). I was very hesitant because of the price and not a lot videos on YouTube gone in depth about the monitor other than showing gameplay. I wasn’t expecting it to be so big let alone run this well either. Finding a gaming monitor at the moment is hard just because finding a well made monitor that plays and runs most games is somewhat rare. It took no more then 12 hours for it to come in after i purchased it (I have Amazon prime) and the box itself was actually pretty big. Setting everything up was easy and simple. Using it for gaming: There’s a bit of settings and you can play it at native 4k 60hz on the Xbox one x and there’s a major difference with some games like Cod MW (2019) Halo MCC & Halo 5, and any game that plays at 60fps. It may not be a noticeable difference with games that are locked to 30fps, but there is a major difference when playing games at 60. Some games looked better but ran somewhat worse compared to 1080p or 1440p. With the One X you can play some games in HDR and there’s a major difference with HDR and some games looked better with HDR. I’ve seen HDR on 4k tv’s and looked amazing, but being able to use it on a monitor like this was also really surprising. Again not all games on the One X have HDR, but the games that do have HDR ran somewhat better but frames did drop considerably when things picked up in combat. Cyberpunk 2077 while looked better on the One X, ran a lot worse at native 4k and with HDR on. Some parts of cyberpunk were steady and nice, as soon as combat picked up, the games frames would drop. So again it just depends on your settings and what games you play the monitor on. Using it for my Music & commentaries: For the last few weeks I’ve been making music & commentaries on this monitor and my workload had jumped up considerably. I can finally see everything and mix the way I need too. It’s a lot easier for me to see my mixes, I had to get a new keyboard, mouse, and desk mat just for this monitor. My work flow has improved and the monitor goes well with the lights around my studio. I’m getting a gaming computer soon to see how it truly runs, I have laptop at the moment so it runs well but I’m in need of upgrade for a new computer. Final Thoughts: Buy at your own cost. The settings are customizable and it looks good on my Xbox one X, I plan on getting a gaming computer to see how it truly runs. It’s worth the price and ships really fast (if you have Amazon prime). Picture quality is amazing, the brightness is adjustable and it’s really good for gaming. Worth the price! If you have the money, get it, if you game a lot, get it, if you’re in need of good monitor, get it. You can’t go wrong with it. Even after a month, I haven’t had any problems with it. I’ve been using it everyday since I’ve bought it.

Great definition, super fast refresh rate, the curvature is perfect, and the size is just right (but still more than enough to blow you away and provide all the immersion one could ask for from a monitor). My only complaint is that the menu isn't quite as intuitive as others, but this is negligible. Additional keywords (all true, mind you), easy to setup, very lightweight for it's size, and a great value for the price (on sale, maybe so at regular price too?).

The ASUS TUF Gaming VG32VQ1B is a monitor that I’ve been using for quite some time and it has definitely enhanced my setup. It has a 32 inch carbon curved screen with a 1440p resolution. In my eyes, that combination of size and resolution is the best. Clarity of the text is impeccable, sharpness of graphics is very pleasing and there is a lot of screen space without it being overwhelming. It has a maximum refresh rate of 165Hz and combined with a 1ms response time, everything from fast paced games to smoother experiences feels incredible. I primarily play racing and shooter games and the difference in performance when compared to a 60Hz monitor is very noticeable. That smoother performance does wonders with reaction time and overall improves the experience in gaming. The curvature of the monitor is not highly aggressive, it is in fact very subtle but extremely useful for immersion, especially for when you sit right in front of it. It encapsulates your viewpoint to just the right extent to feel more connected and engaged with the on screen actions. Also, there’s the Free-Sync Premium tag, which is carried quite nicely since there’s no tearing or stuttering even when frame rates slightly dip, and there’s the ELMB feature that stands as ELMB is strong, preventing things from becoming blurry during fast movements in scenes with high action. It has speakers built in. Not great, but really not bad at all, especially if you’re not plugging anything else in. That being said, I use a headset most of the time so I don’t really have a use for them. It’s also VESA mountable so that’s cool if you’d like to clear up your desk with an arm mount or just get it off the stand. Well, brightness and color are more than fine for me. It gets plenty bright, and colors look pretty natural to my eye. HDR is supported. It’s not the most amazing HDR I’ve ever seen, but it does improve the look in some games and videos. Don’t expect OLED-level blacks or anything, though. Overall, this thing has been totally worth it. It has everything I look for good image quality, smooth performance, and that little bit of immersion from the curve. If I had to do it all over again, I’d still buy it. No regrets.

For what you pay for these I feel it's a must have! I picked up 2 of these for my build and wasn't sure what to expect but knowing Asus is a top brand and seeing other reviews being amazing I went for it. For not being 4k monitors I feel these have an amazing image! I have another setup with 2 34'' ultra wide screens and I am actually more in favor of the Tuf ones. They're not as wise just taller which I feel is a little less stressful on your eyes while gaming. To any of the negative reviews I would say they just got the lemon in the batch which happens with everything so don't let the discourage you from getting this amazing monitor!

I have tried and compared several 32" VA and IPS 1440p 144Hz+ monitors and out of all of them, the ASUS TUF 32" 1440p 165Hz (VG32VQ1B) has the best balance of cost, performance, and quality. The Pros: Deep blacks, good contrast (superior contrast to an IPS panel), great color for a VA panel, excellent refresh rate (165), quality materials, lots of fine tuning options, gentle curve for immersion. Cons: like most all other VA panels, this one is not immune to ghosting (google if you do not know what that is), black screen uniformity is Meh (more on that below), colors are a little subdued but better after calibration, orange stand by light is pretty bright. The panel that came the closest to this one, for me, was the Samsung G5 32" but the G5 is dimmer than this one. There are brighter panels out there in this range - the Gigabyte M32QC for example - but this is one of the brighter VAs. Overall, I am happy with this for gaming, media, and music production work. I will let you know that I am returning the first one I received as after a few hours of use, it developed a hot spot in the upper left corner. I game in a dim room so it is very noticeable. I am hoping the next one is just fine. I really like this unit. The only thing that could be better is the color and light output. It claims to be an HDR monitor but really it just can accept the HDR signal. Its not really bright enough to do true HDR. I wish they were not marketing it as an HDR panel. If you are on the hunt for a good HDR display, you are going to have to shell out more money for a next tier unit. Good luck on your monitor search.

I bought this monitor in November 2021. Even at that time the monitor being 400 ish dollars for years later I'm still very impressed with this monitor. I bought this monitor to have a large monitor for work and recently I started PC gaming. This monitor impressed me all over again after using it for gaming as well. If you're not an ultra serious competitive gamer this monitor is perfect. People have reported ghosting issues and white text issues ETC but the issues reported I have not experienced or at least affected my experience with this monitor. I like it so much I just ordered another one to complete the dual monitor setup and replace my 27 inch second monitor which is still great. I am sure there are newer and better monitors out there but this one scratches the it's perfectly and for a pretty good price now that it's around $200. I still don't regret paying the $400 price tag when I first got the monitor and I'm going to enjoy the second one just as much and maybe more. I currently play Marvel rivals on this Monitor and it's fantastic. I prefer a brighter display and this monitor seems to be nice and bright and I game with all my windows open in the daytime and there is little to no glare. And for a VA panel the colors are fantastic and the blacks are pretty impressive. Long-winded I know but if you want a good monitor that's not going to break the bank this monitor is going to perform great. Can't wait for my second one to arrive.

Love my 2K monitor. I wish there were more feature options on the side buttons.

I bought my first 32" TUF curved monitor back in Feb 2021. Loved it so much I got two more in March 2021. I used all three up until about 4 months ago when I gave one of them to my son who now sits behind me gaming on his own setup. They both look very clear still to this day, 5 years later. I keep looking to buy a new set of monitors but each time I shop around I'm reminded just how good of a product I own. Gaming is about 50% as of late, I now work from home and they are great for that as well. I've had no problems with these monitors. There are a lot of hours on them and they still perform like the day I got them. I've cycled my gaming/primary display every 4/5 months just to give them a break. And have had basic settings on the non gaming ones. I thought I'd finally share my experience. 5 solid years and still going.
