How can I buy just one fixture? I don't need 2.

This lantern is bought as a set...you can’t buy just one. You should look at other lanterns that can be purchased as one.

I prefer milk-glazed glass to eliminate glare. Does this clear ripple glass compare?

I do not think it is a true milk glass as you can see through it, but it has a crinkled pattern on the glass and doesn't seem to put off a lot of glare. It may depend on how many watts your lightbulbs are. I like that I can replace the bulb with a regular lightbulb without removing the fixture.
