Wonderful
This thing is amazing, itโs heavy duty and tears right through the soil, turning it, and preparing it for your plants and seeds, good buy, easy to use, and made well, itโs made well, of heavy, thick material, I got a great deal on it, and had I known it was as heavy duty as it was, I would have gotten several.

Makes Quick Work . . .
of small jobs. I'm 5'5" on a good day with a medium to small build, and have a host of skeletal issues, including arthritis; yet I can use this tool. That's a plus. For roots that go 6 - 8" deep, and that are a bit lightweight, this is my go-to tool. For things like thicker and more rigid roots I have to find something else. Like my husband, lol. Jokes aside, this will make quick work of dandelions, weeds, and small brush or trees (trimmed to the stump, that is). If the roots go much deeper than 8" I find I do struggle to pull them free so I just clip them off with my pruning shears and wait for them to come back, but hope for them to die off. For loosening soil this piece of equipment is sure to make the task a simple one. If you're smaller like me, you might find that standing on top of the claw and hopping a bit, or even rocking back and forth, may be in order. I've gotten pretty violent with my sheer will to power through. Not to fear, because this thing is rugged and will stand up to the abuse. I have even used my full weight and treat this as a lever for some of the tougher roots - I'm sure it's quite the spectacle for my neighbors. Rinse this guy off and keep it in a dry storage area to ensure it has a long life. Do wear thick shoes, just in case. If for nothing else, wear thick shoes so you have a solid surface to stand on as you're driving the claw into the ground. I used this, along with a pole saw, mini chainsaw, shovel, and rake to make trails along the perimeter of our yard where we left about 10' from the fence uncleared. The claw helped me significantly in my tasks.

Good, not perfect, but great value
Good tool, I took a star away due to the length of the handle. This is a really well-made tool that I have been using to till some very compacted soil and it has been working really well. It has a nice footplate that allows me to add some weight when I need to and the fit and finish is excellent. I believe this will outlast me. The only issue is that the handle width is a bit short and it makes it easy to get fatigued. The height is good. I am thinking of experimenting with some PVC pipe over the handlebars to give me a bit more leverage and make it easier to till for longer.

Sturdy and Gets the Job Done
I've used similar products before, and they didn't hold up well to the job. This Fiskars tool did. It's study and well made. It easily got the job done without having to exert a lot of effort. Fiskars is my go to gardening brand, and this tool by them did not disappoint.

Tears up turf (in a good way)
I brought this after struggling to dig holes for flowers and new shrubs in my yard. A shovel could not break through the turf or our hard clay Va. soil (with lots of rocks) effectively and I ended up just planting flowers in what I could manage to dig and they didn't do well--too shallow of a hole. So I bought this and it makes it so much easier to rip through the lawn turf, and even stones do not halt progress. I highly recommend. It'll still take some muscle to get the work done, but I actually like that part of doing yardwork myself.

This is the best Tiller I've ever owned!
This tiller is strong. I have NOT noticed any of the teeth bending. I'm over 300lbs and I step on this and it goes INTO the ground. I hit rocks and all kinds of hard objects. and Nothing has bent yet or broken. and it twists the ground up so nice. and the stabby spikes at the bottom of it have no problem going into my hard clay dirt or even hitting lots of rocks. This is a strong Tiller.

Works great.
Greetings, Had to replace my sprinkler valve. It was buried 48" to the top of the valve...so I needed to dig down past that another 8" or so. After trying the spade, I ran into hard clay. With the Fiskars I was able to loosen up the clay and with shovel and post hole digger, I was able to get down to the top of the valves. With me being 72 years old, I need to work smarter. I only work 15-30 a day in the morning as the afternoon temp is in the high 90's. Now, back to my project. The last few inches I got creative...Started up the pressure washer and "blasted" those last few inches. I used my inexpensive Porter Cable Vac to "suck" out the mixture of water, clay, rocks and dirt. Got it done in about 3 weeks. Was quoted $3,000 to do the job plus parts. Felt they were taking advantage of us Senior Citizens. Thanks for reading. Ken in Idaho

Hope you don't need to use their "warranty"!
How far this company has fallen! The tiller is okay, but not up to previous Fiskars quality. Over the years I have purchased dozens of their products and have been satisfied with both the product and customer service. Now you cannot contact anyone via phone and they literally take months to reply to an email. I had always been pleased--up until now--with their warranty service. I submitted a claim....waited nearly three months...and then was told I had to submit a receipt! Really?? Their products supposedly have a lifetime warranty. Their products are readily identifiable. I'm sorry, but if I kept every single receipt for small ticket items, I couldn't get into my house! So many other hand tool manufacturers offer no hassle warranties--without receipts: Craftsman, Husky, Kobalt, Snap-on...even Harbor Freight. Fiskars used to, but not any longer. Thay just lost another customer.

EXACTLY as advertised.
Very sturdy construction, I love the spot for your foot to help push the tool into the ground. Better than the original "Claw"

This has been a wonderful purchase. I have very heavy clay soil at my new house, and was having trouble breaking it up with a shovel. This cuts right through it with almost no effort. I also use it to mix in compost and soil amendments. It's very well designed: lightweight, but sturdy, and the option to step on the platform is great.
