It works for wavey or straitened hair. Used it with a hot curling iron and it held the curls for at least 4-hours. I actually like the smell, though the smell does not last long. Received product in good condition and in a timely manner.

This is liquid gold in a can for me. I have fine, thin hair that frizzes easily and I live in Florida. Nuff said! I tried this on a whim since I use other IGK products and I never want to be without it. Humidity has been especially high these last few days and my hair didn’t frizz even the least little bit while outside. This is truly a first for me. I finished with IGK’s Shine spray and my hair was incredibly soft and manageable without the problems that come with silicone shine sprays. I’ll be stocking up on both products. Thank you IGK. I never thought I’d find a product to tame my frizz but you did it.

I have naturally curly hair that likes to get frizzy in humidity. I’ve used this spray prior to flat ironing or curling, occasionally also as a humidity protectant. I love that it works well to lock out humidity and keeps the shine in. What could be improved is the scent. When applying, I have learned to do a few sprays with my face covered and holding my breath, step out of the room to breathe, and come back in the room after a few minutes if I need more product (similar to dry shampoo). It’s that strong when applied. Overall, it’s an amazing product that locks in shine, locks out humidity, and is heavily scented when applied.

For some reason, this took forever to be shipped. I'd seen the videos on social media and was excited to try it, so the wait was torturous. I used it on my first blow out after it was delivered. I have fine hair, so I errored on the side of caution and could have used more. The smell is just okay, but the fumes from the aerosol are absolutely awful. It legit makes breathing hard and my lungs are not a fan. I have to hold my breath before spraying, apply, and quickly escape the room to let it dissipate. I'm convinced that it works on my hair, but the fumes are toxic. I've used this about half a dozen times and I've learned that I need to be pretty precise with my application: I have fine hair, so too much close to my roots or on the top layer of my hair and it looks greasy, too little and I may as well not have used any, but if I get it *just* right? Shiny perfection! Would I buy this again? Maybe, but I'd only purchase from my beauty supply store where they sell it at half the retail cost, and I won't use it daily because the fumes seriously do make breathing a challenge. It does work and people with thicker or drier hair may find it a lot more forgiving when it comes to applying too much.

I preface this with the fact that I have naturally curly hair that is coarse and thick. (Picture 1 is of my hair on a “normal” day. ) I read several complaints about fragrance. It does have a fragrance. I can see how some may not like it. I’m fine with it. Has an underlying black pepper scent. I Don’t find it unpleasant. It’s an aerosol so, yup, spray and hold your breath like you would hairspray. It’s a “protein” spray so I did expect it to make my hair feel a little stiff I used it exactly as recommended. I did pair it with the IGK Expensive Clear Gloss Too Coat in the shower. My hair dried in 50% of the time it normally takes so that is a plus. I used a brush blowdryer. I think it did what it is suppose to do. Why it gets 3 stars is that the claims it makes are unrealistic. I cannot just walk out the door after blowdrying. It’s a frizzy mess. (Picture 2) (Although better than what it would be without it ) I will still need to flat iron it. I’m in my late 50’s and have tried virtually every product imaginable in my 59 years I think it earns 3 stars. Hair is so finished and glossy after using! It’s so hard to get a bottle of this but it’s basically a lacquer for your hair! Theres a bit of a stickiness to it until you dry and flat iron but worth it for the glass-like finish.
