does this skimmer come with flo-control slide plate? And this skimmer is UV resistant?

There is no flow control other than the flapper which keep trash from floating up out of the basket and into the pool when the pump is shut off. Yes, the plastic is UV resistant. This is a standard inground pool skimmer and works perfectly in new or replacement applications. I had to replace my skimmer when the suction pipe froze & cracked. Replacement baskets and vacuum attachment accessories are carried for this skimmer at most pool stores. If you need flow control because you have multiple skimmers you can use the bottom pipe sockets (which are threaded) to screw in a bushing reducer to act as a restrictor. It's a 1.5" PVC pipe thread. PVC fitting adaptors are common.

What’s the maximum thickness the pool wall can be? Mine is 8 inches, will it fit??

1084 is made for liner pools 1/2 inch thickness
