How can this monitor attain 1440p @ 144hz when the video input hardware (DP 1.2 and HDMI 2.0) doesn’t support that?

Define the abbreviation for me please, I will find out. also as a small note, I am not fond of the stand as I find adjustment difficult. Picture quality is superb thou this is an older monitor refresh rate wise. If your a gamer look for a newer 120hz model

Height is adjustable by 130 mm. Tilt is -5 to +20 degrees.
