These signals have a nice sturdy feel to them and the arms stay in position (up or down) without any tendency to slip. However, I have great difficulty fixing them to the rails because the prongs on the attachment clip are not stiff enough to push all the way through; they bend and miss the slots on the other side. I've found that filing down the end ridges a little bit with a small file makes it easier to fit them but in one case even this didn't work and the clip ended up so bent out of shape it was never going to fit. Hornby should sell spares or supply two clips per pack.
