Great GF orzo
I made this to use in a recipe for a GF friend. I made a regular orzo and this one and honestly this one was just as tasty!!!
User
Great
Surprised at how good it taste. The texture is a little different than regular orzo but following an AIP diet you get used to these things. Will buy againโฆand again

Fiber
It was not too tasty, but texture was good.

Happy to find a Gluten Free Orzo option
This was a great substitute for my orzo pasta salad recipe. It was good. The consistency is a little different and does become mushy if not eaten within the day.

cooked this risottos style. win.
i didn't follow the package instructions (bad) -- and that was fine. used this for a bon appetit recipe for one-skillet chicken with orzo and vegetables. recipe mirrored cooking time, but the cooking method was more risotto-style (with a pilaf-style frying of the pasta). really happy with how the orzo took to the slow absorption of liquid, how it held its shape, and -- awesome -- took the flavor of the broth and vegetables. the final texture had a bit of chewiness with a lot of creaminess. not always recommending going off the map, but this worked so well.

Nothing like Orzo
I have used Jovial brown rice pastas for several years and love them. I have never had any issue with them regardless of what recipes I use them in, but I suppose the difference in brown rice vs cassava flour makes a huge difference. I made a pot of chicken soup and added the pasta at the end, letting it simmer off the burner for 15 minutes as I always do, only for the soup to be completely ruined! The orzo thickened the soup and gave it a floury taste and almost slimy texture. I ended up dumping the 10 quarts of one of my favorite soups down the drain after spending an hour and a half cooking! I do not recommend this pasta at all!

That it is infact gluten-free, but is mediocre in taste
This product may be gluten-Freeburg after cooking it, it's bland and if you don't watch the cooking time, it turns to mush!

Delicious
Absolutely delicious.

Great gluten free alternative
Really good alternative to traditional orzo. Straight substitution for non-gluten-free recipes.

Don't overcook
I didn't like this at all. Cooked for the recommended time but it was very mushy. I would definitely cook for half the suggested time.
User
Too expensive for a tiny amount of pasta.
Seriously donโt bother, the box is tiny with small rice like grains of pasta. The price is horrendously expensive for this small amount of grain free gluten free pasta.
