I have a pair of these radios, and I want to buy 4 more. How can I tell what frequency they are on so that you can program them?

Look at the back of the radio with the battery off it will say either TC-508V or TC508U

Doe this come with the rechargable base?

I want to buy one for work, do I need to program it or as long as I am on the right channel it'll work?

All professional two-way radios require frequencies programmed in the radio to operate. Hytera radios come from the factory with default / test frequencies programmed. Most customers send us an existing radio for us to read their current programming or send us over their programming information to ensure the radios communicate properly. Are this radios version V5.01.65, I bought some from a different supplier and they appear to be V2.02.11 an can’t program them ?
