What is the length of the blade ?

blade length = 6.4cm or 2 and 1/2 inches

Anyone have a problem with the scissors on this model? I received two Farmer X's in a row with scissors that would not stay open.

My scissors were fine, but I had three in a row that had side-to-side play in the tools. The first had it in the blade, scissors, and can opener. The second had it in the scissors and can opener. The third only has it in the can opener.

There is a small smooth rectangular area on the back, which is specifically there for engraving.
