Great pump excellent longevity
Best pump on the market bar none. I used this exact pump 10 years before I enlarged my pond from 800 gallon to 2000 gallons. This pump never failed to pump EVER! I had electric failures do to PGE and such, but though I always had another one of these on hand this pump never failed me. The cost to run it was always the same I never experienced any noticeable spikes. My son now runs his Koi pond with the same pump with the same success.

Works in a grey water irrigation system too
I bought this to power my grey water irrigation system. It came with a rigid pre-filter, which has been a nice extra. It sits in the bottom of a large 40 gallon Rubbermaid trash can and I attached 1/2 inch black drip irrigation tubing to it, cut a hole high up in the side of the trash can and ran the tubing through that (put an elbow on the tubing so it would not crimp) and then ran the tubing across my yard to the far side and have attached an old-fashioned plastic yellow circular ring sprinkler on it that I can move around the yard. I empty water from my washing machine into the trash can and when it gets full, I plug in the pump and run it to water my yard. At first, I tried it with the kind of sprinkler that throws out a jet of water and pivots around the yard, so I could leave it in one place and water everything. It was supposed to work with low-pressure systems. However, this pump did not produce enough water pressure to work that sprinkler head. I switched to the ring sprinkler and the pump works like a champ. It pumps the water in the tubing straight up 26 inches to exit the trash can, and then about 50ft across the lawn, and still has enough pressure to make the sprinkler ring throw the water about 6 feet in diameter and 3-4 feet in the air. I filter the water before I put it in the trash can, but even so, there is some fine lint that collects on the pump and on its pre-filter. However, the pump seems to handle this just fine. I have been using it 2-3 times a week for three months so far, and it is working just as well as when I started. I am very happy with this low-cost solution to my grey water irrigation.

Great pump but be gentle on fittings
Bought this pump to use with a UV filter for my salt water tank even tho it is a pondmaster. Only thing different between this one and a 700 is the length of the power cord and the price. This model is less expensive. I have been running the pump for about a week now and it seems to be doing it job really well. Just be careful when attaching threaded parts to the cover. I was attaching a bard to fit the tubes to when screwing the male end in, the female on the cover cracked. Yes I know this can happen if you screw it in too tight but that was not the case here. It was only half way in! I was able to order just a new cover for the pump and this one held up great. Don't know if I just got a bad one or not but now everything works as it should.

Dannon is our brand of choice
Danner is always our brand of choice. They work consistently an dependably. We use various sizes in several locations to aerate our ponds. In summer they keep our ponds and their inhabitants, healthy.

Cleared up my midsized pond in a few hours
It seems to be a good product. Iโve bought 3 cheaper version all under $50 and they didnโt make it 6 months. Hoping this works a few years. It has great output. I have a 2x7x12 ft pond and this cleared it up in a few hours. I bought the 3yr warranty as well.

Spend your money somewhere else
This product is NOT durable. "Made to run continuously without seals to wear out" The seals may not wear out, but their "High Quality Material"....WILL wear out....and do it in less that a year of run time. It has been almost a year to the date of purchase and it stopped working. It wasn't even running during the four months of winter, it was taken out and stored. There is a plastic hub piece that holds the impeller so that it does not move around and that broke well more like wore out. Then the impeller just started moving around and ......well the rest is history. "Highest quality materials used to make high-end aquatic supplies" .....this is not exactly true..... For $59.18....Unless you don't feel that is a bad price to pay every year, I might suggest another company because spending $60 a year for a water pump gets a little expensive. I may be one of the random people that got one of those pumps made with that "one bad batch of plastic" but I was very disappointed in this purchase.

A solid low-maintenance pump
I had an earlier version which finally failed after > 8 years of extensive use. Had I known about the replacement parts for the impeller I'd still have it, but we live and learn. The new one works perhaps too well, as it's more powerful than my old one, but I have no complaints about how it works.
