Good vacuum for my needs
Iโve been pretty happy with this Shark vacuum overall. The suction is strong, and the hard floor cleaning performance is really good on my wood and tile floors. It glides smoothly with very little resistance, which makes cleaning easier than expected. The pull-off handle is especially useful for corners, stairs, and quick dust pickups. The vacuum is a little heavier than I expected, but I can still clean the stairs without much trouble. The smaller base actually works really well on stairs and in tighter spaces. One downside is that the vacuum head/base is a little smaller than expected, and the cord could definitely be longer for the price. Also, while itโs nice not having to deal with vacuum bags, the clear dust container starts looking pretty gross pretty quickly. I get why they made it transparent, but you definitely see everything in there.I also noticed the transition from hard floors to large area rugs can be awkward because the suction is powerful enough to pull up the rug sometimes.Overall though, itโs a strong-performing vacuum that works especially well on hard floors and stairs, with only a few minor annoyances.

Totally Impressed (and got over my prejudice about the Shark brand)
After almost 25 years, I gave up on my Miele canister vacuum - I'd been vain about it being the "BMW of vacuums".Turns out that this somewhat random replacement blows it away. Mind you, there are undoubtedly slight, if not major, differences between this vacuum and its competitors. But the difference between this and what I used to have is like night and day.I'd been prejudiced against the "Shark" name - didn't it used to be sold on infomercials or home-shopping TV channels? So I took a chance on this. It turns out to be an amazing product.Pros are that it's lightweight and pretty versatile. Can reach a few inches under furniture. Cord is very long (but maybe still not enough if you have a huge house). Dust compartment is easy to clean. And after almost 25 years, I have NO BAGS to buy! The slight left/right swiveling action is handy for moving around, as is the moderate self-propelling forward motion. My household is one person and two cats, and I'm astounded at how much stuff this vacuum picks up. Its ease of use means that I can use it more often without it feeling like a huge chore.I can't really think of any minuses, to be honest. I've only had it a few months, so we'll see how it fares over the long haul.

Wow - picks up dirt other vacuums leave behind
We have our house professionally cleaned, so I wasnโt expecting that when I tried this on our carpets that it would pull anything up. Holy smokes - there was a lot of lint and dust that this vacuum picks up that gets left behind with other vacuums. Very easy to push and feels sturdy. Weโve had other Shark vacs before but this is my fave due to the rollers that donโt catch hair! If you have long haired people in your life, you know how annoying it is - and gross - when you have to hack hair off your vacuum roller. Very pleased with the quality and performance of this!

Another great Shark Vacuum!
Great Shark vacuum cleaner. I've had a shark for 10 years and decided to upgrade it. My house has a robot vacuum and I mainly use this one for deep cleaning of the carpets. Bought this one renewed and it worked great. Suction power is very strong. The bin is always full of dust and hair when I vacuum. I like the feature to detach the bin and use it to clean hard to reach areas or stairs. The weight is not that heavy, way lighter than the ones they made 10 years ago. Led light on the head is very bright as well. I like the new roller and silicone fins that dont get hair caught now. No more cutting hair off the rollers. The only small downside the the way the fabric roller works. It basically keeps rolling forward so I does make it easier to push the vacuum. But pulling it back takes some effort if that makes sense. In a sense the vacuum always wants to move forward. A good sized vac.

Wonโt do light rugs.
Powerful yet light. Itโs all about hair and Itโs all about the double brush. I โsoldโ the Kirby vacs as a teenager waiting to get in the military. We were trained on various vacuums and I was in a lot of homes showing people how junk their other vacuums were. Never sold one because even though they were amazing because of the price tag. I just couldnโt bring myself to do that to people. But. What I learned there separated me from many others. My favorite vacuum was the older Kenmore progressive intelliclean vacuum. Bought it for my wife on Christmas. Madder than heck until she tried it. Spent HOURS testing it at sears vs the dysons etc before I bought it. Drove two sales guys crazy. Bought old parts off other broken units just to keep it going. Later (we have two) went with the new Kenmore progressives. Extremely powerful suction. Direct drive brush. But it did not have the ease of use and versatility of the intelliclean.Telling all this because I know vacuum cleaners. And also I am an engineer. So I know quality. As I stated above itโs all in the brush. Yes this vacuum is powerful. Itโs so well designed to go from hand wand suction to wand for long reach to floor cleaning to lift and carry the unit. There are a few shortcomings butโฆitโs all about the brush. I live in the house of hairs. Wife, two daughters all with LONG hair. The kind of hair you will get your feet tangled in and fall down long hair. Then. A Husky whoโs sole purpose in life is to shed and a black English lab whoโs black hairballs will suffocate a small child. After vacuuming the house with the former vacuums I would have to get scissors out and cut the wrapped girls hair off the brush. Not a pleasant job but a must. Then when I would run our carpet scrubber a bunch of dog hair would clump up right after using the vacuum. So they never got all the hair. Like . A lot of left over dog hair. Our carpet is medium plush as an FYI.This new vacuum has rubber wipes on it along with a brush. No real beater bar that actually damages your carpet up like other vacuums. This instead uses what I would call friction to remove the hair from the carpet fabric. It is absolutely amazing how well it works. And the dander this thing sucks up is significantly more dense than the former vacuums. The only important downside that I figure I would mention is with this double brush system is that it wonโt do light rugs. Neither did our Kenmores cause they would just suck the dang things up into the bag almost. This double roller instead will grab the rug and pinch it between the two rollers and then it will trip off the rollers. You then have to turn off the vac (easy) extract the rug (not too bad and no damage to the vac or rug) then you can turn it back on to get the rollers to work again. So if like my house where my wife buys rugs Every time I turn around then know that like most vacuums (even with the brush on slow (hardwood setting) and the min suction (which is just a port on the handle to allow air bypass)โฆthe rollers is what will grab the rug. On heavier rugs it has zero issues.Havenโt had to clean the brush head yet of hair so thatโs like worth going out to the bar with your buddies. They would understand.Any other downsides are not downsides. If this was your first ever vacuum in life you would name your first child after it. But if you have gone through many vacuums you see minor things you would change but all of them are not worth even blinking about. Shark did extremely well and I am glad I went with this model even though there are more exotics they make. No matter what model you getโฆif you are losing the war on hair this double brush system is it. You will claim victory 10 seconds after you turn it on and will probably call your buds over to celebrate. Please donโt tell my wife about this post cause she wonโt let me tell her all about vacuum cleaners and will get mad at me for sharing.Update. Run the vacuum almost every day. Best vacuum I have ever owned. We have new medium plush carpet. On occasion I have to run the carpet cleaner. Prior to this vacuum there would be a lot of dog hair and long girls hair clogged up in the carpet cleaner brushes. Not anymore. This Shark pulls all of the hair up. Very impressed. Everything about this vacuum is perfect. I would not change a thing.

I could not hate this vacuum more
It started out as a problem child right out of the box. Once assembled, I stepped on the red foot pedal and the thing wouldnโt tilt. The only way to get it to tilt was to keep foot pressure on the pedal and reach down and use my hand to get it to tilt. Once in the tilted position, the brush roll would proceed fall off as soon as you pulled backward. I consulted the instructions again to make sure Iโd done everything right, and then reattached it only to have it fall off again. And again. I tried more firmly. Fell off again. Especially when on area rugs. I got my house about 2/3 of the way vacuumed and gave up on the whole thing. Itโs obviously a defective design. Then came the struggle to get the blasted thing back in the box. The cord length is also shorter than advertised. The brush roll also has the same potential design flaw as previous lightweight Shark models Iโve owned has where the internal hose breaks after about 18 months and thereโs no way to replace just the brush roll. Obviously this one didnโt last even one full use, so the hose was fine, but I wasnโt happy to see that design still being repeated by Shark. Needless to say, this model is junk and my search for a decent, balanced, not-too-heavy vacuum continues. When I did manage to get this vacuum tilted and the brush head actually on, the suction was great and it was nicely balanced. Maybe I just got a huge dud, but honestly Iโm amazed anyone is pleased with this vacuum.

Donโt even hesitate!
I had become so accustomed to the convenience of a cordless vacuum that I honestly never thought Iโd go back. However, I eventually got tired of replacing batteries and issues with cordless vacuums stopping and starting for no apparent reason. I decided to give this a try and holy cow I donโt know why I ever convinced myself that cords were so bad. The first thing I noticed was that this vacuum is so strong it will literally pull itself across the carpet like a self-propelled lawn mower. The second thing I noticed was the appalling amount of dust and pet hair that it pulled from my carpet, despite having run roombas and a cordless handheld vacuum several times a week. I never even notice the weight and Iโm not sure it matters when it drives itself across the floor! The hard floor setting works great too. It will brush dried dirt off of LVP and even get down into grout between tiles. You know what I almost didnโt notice? The chord. Itโs not that bad. I do wish that it had a self winding retractor, but honestly, those never seem to last long anyways.

Es una excelente aspiradora, limpia hasta el polvo ligerito que se queda pegado a veces con la escoba tradicional

Voltage check
Always check what voltage it uses before purchase as this is 110v and not 240v

Very powerful
For the offer price of $280 at the time it's a great deal. Attachments are great, does an awesome job on both carpet and floor. Was sent the wrong power brush but got it sorted with shark since Amazon wasn't very helpful.
