Hydréa London Professional Dry Skin Detox Body Brush with Extra Long Cactus Bristles

I Love this brush, it's excellent quality,The size is great the handle long enough to reach your back, the bristles are coarse, since I have kind of sensitive skin I use it three times a week on non consecutive days. I've used it three times a week for two months before I take a shower and my skin is softer, after I shower, while my skin is not completely dry, I moisturize with a little sesame oil. I started dry brushing to improve lymphatic drainage but the improvement in skin texture is a nice bonus and some of the stretch marks on my hips are starting to fade. The brush is only for dry brushing but when it needs to be washed I use my clarifying shampoo rinse it well then gently squeeze out the excess water from the bristles and hang to air dry in a ventilated area or it could be left horizontally with the bristles facing down, this can be done with the cactus bristles because they are stiff, I also have the Hydrea face brush with goat's hair and the bristles are way to soft to support the weight of the brush while drying, it would deform the bristles, so I put it on its side and put something in front of it to keep it from sliding.You could also find a way to support the brush with the bristles facing down but not resting on the bristles while it dries. I keep the brushes in the bathroom but not in the shower.

This is perfect. It does an amazing job. For the sensory girlies - this is a mouth watering experience. It feels so good across the skin and is a great precursor to a good shower routine. Other brushes I got didn’t seem as hard/rough. I do prefer a more harsh brush. This definitely met that. It has good sturdy bristles without being outright painful or unpleasant. I definitely recommend. Good price, good product.

I am new to dry brushing and actually bought this brush in the hopes that by assisting my body with the draining of my lymphatic system that my healing from total knee replacement would go more smoothly and quickly. (I was having some specific nerve endings issues and saw a post on a TKR site suggesting dry brushing.) I have been very pleased with my results. I experienced some initial swelling when I first started brushing but once I watched some "How To" videos on YouTube and learned the proper technique to dry brush, everything sort of fell together and my healing is back on track. Now honestly, I don't know if the brushing has anything to do with my healing but, if nothing else, the soft skin I have after I brush and then shower makes the purchase worth it. I noticed other reviewers warning of the severe stiffness of this brushes bristles. Yes, at first the bristles are stiff and if you are a first time dry brusher you will have to give yourself time to learn the brushing technique and to get used to the feel of the bristles, but they soften up significantly so don't worry. I gave the brush four stars because the handle needs to be a tiny bit longer. I can reach everywhere on my body except for the very middle of my back. Even one inch longer, but still the same width, would be a bonus. The second reason for four stars is the lack of direction about how to use the brush. There are a lot of bad "How To" videos on YouTube and I had to wade through a ton of them to figure out the proper way to use the brush. A pamphlet or even a link to the company's own "How To" site would have been helpful. I tell everyone about the benefits of dry brushing now. It's such an easy thing to do to help take care of yourself and your skin!

Thought this was a nice brush, then I got a rash the following day after using it. This morning I looked closer and can see water stains and even some dried lotion was on the handle! Disgusting....this is considered a personal item, and shouldn't be resold after a return. Unsanitary!! you are spreading bacteria, fungus etc.

I bought this back in 2019 and it's still in excellent condition. The bristles hold up well. I have only used this as a dry brush. It's not meant to be used wet so I don't know how well it would hold up to that. The handle is very comfortable to hold. My only complaint is that when trying to reach the middle of my back, it's a challenge. I am older and so my shoulders aren't as flexible as they used to be. Although a longer handle would make it a bit more awkward while using on other areas. Other than that, this brush is perfect. My skin feels wonderful after using it. It helps with circulation and the tissues feel so much better afterwards. Highly recommend. I think that I'll look for a longer handle version just for my back. I also have the face brush and it's wonderful also. This company manufactures a high quality product.

This brush had timely shipping, even over seas and arrived unblemished. It's a 'vegan' dry brush which means it's not made from any animal fibers. So it's considered eco conscious and made from plants. I personally feel likes a great combination of being scratchy but not too rough, excellent for dry brushing. I feel like the handle is short enough to not be cumbersome and long enough to reach the middle of your back if you have standard mobility. It's handsome looking and comes with a hanging hook for the shower, since rinsing them off once a week is recommended. If you were so inclined, it's my personal opinion you could use this as a shower brush too (in the water) as long as you dried it out proper in intervals and maybe oiled up the wood every so often. (As you would a cutting board) great brush!

I adore this dry skin brush by Hydrea. I have been dry body brushing for 6 months now and prior to using this one, I had a boar bristle dry brush with a detachable handle that I found to be too soft. After reading all the reviews, especially the ones that complained about it being too hard, I thought that maybe I had found the right brush for me. The brush is just right! After using it the first time in the bath tub, I could see dead skin floating along on air. I use it every day now before showering and my skin feels oh so soft and amazing. I no longer get ingrown hair bumps, my moisturizer absorbs better and I use it the evening before I have laser hair removal with no problems afterwards. This is a well made brush, that does not shed and I will definitely keep buying!

I bought these for my face, but it's more like sandpaper. So now I use them on my feet. Excellent for that purpose, but now I have to have two brushes, vice one.

Best brush I've tried. The length of the bristles provide a very nice sensation. Good quality.

herrlich, besonders zu Bestrafung unartiger kleiner Biester, da wird geschrubbt bis das Fell glänzt, Die Lieferdauer war wie angegeben, und das war laaange, aber nicht schlimm. Ein PVC Rohr mit geeignetem Durchmesser verlängert mir den Stiel. Dass andere darüber so rum jammern ist einfach nur erbärmlich.

Le produit est trop pénible à utiliser. Il est trop ferme et devrait être un peu plus doux. Je ne l'utilise pas.

I felt cleaner when scrubbing in the shower after I dry brushed my skin. Dry brushing is a lovely way to self care yourself and skin.
