As far as freeze dried meals go, this one makes a great, tasty breakfast. It's an excellent alternative to oatmeal and will definitely give you the energy you need to make it through a rigorous morning either working out or just working. If you like a mushier texture when you eat oatmeal, you won't have a problem with this meal either. I personally like my oats with a bite, so the flaxseed meal's mushy texture was just a little off for me, but the pineapple, coconut, and nuts definitely balanced it out. Overall this fast meal is simple to prepare, nutritious and great on the go.

This is one of the best breakfast ones that I have had. This is an absolute must when we camp or even just to have as a easy option. We have bought this one now a few times. Please dont ever stop selling this!!!

If your're looking for a quick and easy gluten free travel meal, just add water and eat from pouch. It's a lightweight meal that's also grain free, dairy free, soy free, and nut free, so it's a great choice if you've got people with allergies or sensitivities in your group. I bought these because of the flavors/produce in such a unique form. They were totally alien to me so we tried them with dinner the day they arrived. Each of the fruits is clearly distinguishable both visually and in regard to its flavor. The time you are to allow them to sit after stirring in the hot water is between 5 and 15 minutes depending on your altitude. I'm at 50 feet above sea level, so allowed them to sit for 5 minutes. My husband and I were both unimpressed. However, the longer they were allowed to sit the better they got. This isn't something you'd serve for a dinner party, but for camping, hiking, survival, etc., it is excellent.

I fully get that taste is subjective. Althoug I do enjoy the flavors of pineapple and mango, the totally of this meal was just not tasty. I did eat as much of the meal as I could since I was backpacking and needed the calories, but I ended up burying almost half of the serving.

So excited to find a packaged camping food that is Whole30 compliant... and DELICIOUS!
