This is the BEST by far that I have ever used. I have wavy hair but when I use this and blow dry my hair it is straight, soft & shiny. I bought the hair spray as well and it keeps my hair straight with no fly away in the South Florida humidity. The products smell really nice too. Great investment for your hair.

I absolutely love the Kenra Platinum Blow-Dry Spray. The texture is super lightweight and never feels greasy, but it still gives my hair the perfect amount of moisture so it doesn’t feel dry after blow-drying. I’ve honestly noticed my hair looking healthier since I started using it — less breakage and way smoother ends. It really does cut down my blow-dry time, and my hair stays soft and frizz-free all day, which I love. It doesn’t weigh my hair down at all, and the best part is definitely the smell — it makes my hair smell so good. This is one of those products I’ll keep repurchasing for sure.

My sister suggested that I purchase this heat protectant due to the amount of heat I need to dry my super thick, mixed-chick hair - and WOW! Not only does it smell AMAZING as so many others have shared - but it does a tremendous job of protecting my hair! Before Kenra - my hair would sometimes smell scorched from excessive heat... Not anymore! It has shortened my dry time, substantially! But importantly, I love how it leaves my hair soft - frizz-free, shiny - and it's not as hot to the touch after using my hot air brush. My hair is way more healthy now. I HIGHLY recommend. It's a must have.

So far I really like this product. Let me explain. I took shots of my hair freshly washed and air dried, and also freshly washed and dried with 8 pumps of this product. I will also take shots of freshly washed and dried with a hair dryer but no product, to be posted later. I have thin, colored hair. The color has worn out mostly, but began with bleached out sections colored "fun colors" like blue, green and purple. The rest was colored alternately with a low light contrast to light brown. A ponytail is about one inch max. THIN! So hair drying with a negative ion dryer isn't TOO long, but I will post exact timing later. Air drying time not noted, but pics show texture of the ends, which is the damaged portion and most relevant. My scalp hair is super smooth and has tons of baby hairs so not a good comparison. I washed my hair after two days using the same shampoo and conditioner as air drying. I wrapped my hair in the towel for 7 minutes. I then gently towel dried (patted and a small amount of back and forth rubbing at the ends) for 45 seconds. I applied 8 sprays total, evenly. I combed it through using a three row comb, which I love. Once I had it combed throughly, I began to blow dry with my ion setting, medium heat, high setting (see pic). I always dump my hair forward by bending at the waist and finger combing backwards because my hair LOVES to lay flat and forward. After an extremely short time, I flipped my head up and started to comb (same three row comb) my hair back and straight. It took me 2:51:30 minutes to dry completely. LESS THAN 3 MINUTES! The results are not as refined or straight as air drying or using a flat iron, but the drying time is amazing! I can afford to use a straightener if this is the time a hair dryer takes! I will use a straightener after sleeping on it, and post those shots as well. After I complete the above, I will straight hair dry and time it, then straighten and post results. This product advertises shortened hair dryer time. It is true, if you hair is thin. I have no clue if it is thick. I will see if I can convince my very thick haired daughter to play the same game. Hers is curly, long and thick. The true test! Pictures show air dry, then product dry, the settings on the hair dryer (minus the high, as it was off) and the comb, shampoo and conditioner used.

I used many heat protectant sprays but Kenra became my favorite after noticing that my hair actually got protected and and was left feeling smooth with less frizz and smells great. The best part is that it works perfect when straightning your hair. It IS LONG LASTING DOES NOT FEEL like water but mostly like oil which is good to hydrate your hair but also help you smooth and blow dry.

Here are some tips that I have found take care of some of the more negative reviews. I have corse frizzy Caucasian hair that I have struggled with all my life. Very few products actually work to keep the humidity out and frizz away. I had settled on a combo Brazilian Blowout daily serum and L’Oréal Professional Mythic oil regular for the last many years. I also have to use a Nano Titanium flat iron from Babyliss. But I still got frizz and these products are expensive from my stylist. So I decided on a whim to try the small size of this. The first time I used it I began using my regular mixture of leave in serum and oil first. Then I sprayed the mist throughout as I sectioned. Results were good. The cons were that it seemed a bit heavy and actually drying took longer. Hmmm. So next time I decided to be crazy and not use any of my regular leave in hair products. Just this blow dry spray. I was scared. I sectioned and sprayed throughout and made sure to mist the roots as well as the whole shaft lightly. But bingo! This was the ticket! My blowout was amazing! It dried so fast and was smooth with lots of volume. This product keeps humidity out too for days! So my thoughts are that unless the products you use in your hair are specifically designed by Kenra to be applied along with this spray, I would leave them out to see how this works first. And you may find you don’t need those other products any longer YAY!!! I’m telling you it’s amazing! And you girls with frizzy curls know it’s so scary to use less product. Our hair usually needs more products and lots of it haha. Also my hair feels so healthy now. And after 3 uses I feel like it’s actually improving the quality and texture of my hair. I say get the small bottle and give it a try.
