Not from Roald Dahl, just old children's jokes.
This book is misusing the name of Roald Dahl, who died in 1990. This product is from the "Roald Dahl Story Company", copyright and first edition 2019. It uses some names from Dahl's Matilda, and some illustrations from there, but it asserts that Roald Dahl is a registered trademark of The Roald Dahl Story Company, Ltd. (roalddahl.com), and that is the extent in which this book is by Roald Dahl. The jokes look like they are picked up from some web page, they are old, and not that funny. The first is: "How do bees get to school? On the school buzz."; second "What do you do if you find a gorilla sitting at your school desk? Find somewhere else to sit." and so on. I do not understand why a respected publisher like Penguin does this.

Bought as a gift, was well recieved.

Good book. Disappointed with some of the jokes i.e. making fun of people's names.
It was a present for my daughter. We have lots of fun picking an reading the good jokes from the collection. However, there are still pages and pages, which are probably more suitable for a 10 or 11 year old, quite a number of dad jokes, too.
