How good is the clamp system ?

It clamps tight. The only thing I did to offer slightly more bend angle was to dress down the clamping bolts with a hand grinder to make them a little shorter.

what is the smallest brake it will do, I need a 3/8, or to be more percise I need a 2' flat to 90 degree ,3/8 then 90 degree to 3/4

I think you can. Mostly you just have to study your part and figure out each bend in an order that creates the least interference with the next. Practice with scrap to get it down. After I had already purchased this bender I looked at one sold by Eastwood that would more easily do the tight bends. So before you buy this one take a look on YouTube at the Eastwood sheetmetal benders. That’s about all the advice I can offer.

Would this bend 18 gauge sheet metal?

I think it will. It's really advertised as being capable of bending up to 20 gauge sheet metal, but mine does that with ease. My feeling is that it will bend 18 gauge sheet metal but I can't swear to it.
