Im thinking of getting this as a gift for my dad. Does it come with glue and other necessary supplies or will I need to purchase them separately?

It does not come with glue or paint. You dont really need glue as it does snap together pretty well. I bought this as the first model for my 11 year old and he was able to put it together with no glue. We have not put decals on yet.
