Nutri-Pet Research Nupro Dog Supplement, Small Breed, 1-Pound

I waited a month to write a review because I wanted to wait and see if noticed changed. I truly believe I notice a difference in my Malshi's coat and eyes. Since using the supplement, the white on his coat became brighter and softer, and his eyes looking shinier than ever! I also think this supplement made my dog gain like 1lb of weight, but not bad fat weight, I'm talking about lean muscle..he just looks strong and overall seems to have more energy. I can see how this supplement would be helpful for those older dogs with health problems. One thing I recommend for those who have Maltese/shihtzu type dogs like myself is to mix the powder in the their food using a sandwich bag than can be reused over and over. The powder sticks to the kibble and my dog loves it!. I prefer this rather than making a gravy because the gravy would go all over my dogs face since he has longer hair. I bought the 1lb powder first to try it out, but I'm definitely would go for the 5lb tub next time. And regarding the smell..yeah it may seem like an unpleasant smell..it smells just like some strong vitamins. I got used to it quickly and don't mind it anymore and seeing my dog looking great is what matters most.

I ordered this product after my mother found it, and began giving it to her dogs. I have two 5 pound Yorkies, aged 4 and 5. Both have their own separate issues with skin trouble, coat issues, and allergies. Due to these issues, I have fed them a "home cooked" diet for the past 4 years. They get a plethora of supplements, vitamins, and oils added to their daily diet and my guys are healthy little dogs with annual labs to keep us in check. I thought we were doing pretty well. I am not joking when I say this product has changed our lives, and I've only been using it for 3 months. Prior to using this product, my little guy had a thin, brittle coat, and he was always itchy. He'd often have little dried scabs on his back where he'd been scratching, and all this scratching often caused bald spots, and of course damaged his coat. After three months (one scoop a day for two dogs of the 1lb container) his coast is shiny, full, and thick. He has NO weird scabs anymore, NO bald spots and he doesn't scratch all the time anymore. His dermatitis on his belly has cleared up, and he's as happy and active as he's ever been. I cannot recommend this product enough!

My dogs LOVE this stuff. I’ve never seen them get so excited about when food is ready to eat. My shepherd kept eating his poop and this has stopped him from doing it.

This review is based on one month use. My dogs are both 7.5 years old and they have been raw fed since puppyhood. In the 7.5 years, the only supplement I have used is fish oil. The mentality is if you feed a raw balanced diet, there is no need to supplement. Lately, I have noticed one of my dogs started eating grass and it made me wonder if what I'm feeding them is balanced. I try to rotate the proteins as much as possible but the proteins I get are farmed and in essence do lack essential vitamins and enzymes and on top of that I do belive freezer kill some of these vitamins and enzymes as well. So I did some research and I purchased this after reading all the great reviews and I thought it wouldn't hurt to use it just in case. So far, I haven't noticed great changes in my dogs except my chihuahua's tear stains are gone! Her tear stains were never that bad to begin with but I did notice her eyes have been less teary lately. In the 7.5 years I had her, she has always had some tear stains, for it to resolve this issue in one month of use, I believe it deserves 5 stars! Great product!

I have been through a few different supplements for my dogs and I went through the liquid which they hated it was a chore trying to give it to him every day so I switched to the powder and so far so good they love the taste of it I can mix it in with their food and they don’t have a problem with it I gave four stars only because I’m waiting to see how well it works

My Boston Terrier, Sammo, has always suffered from skin problems - swollen eyelids with ingrown hairs, infected follicles, ear discharge, rash on his belly, and little bumps on the top of his head that were like pimples. I tried different dog foods and settled on a very good lamb/rd it ice formula, but his skin problems persisted. After hearing an advertisement for another pet diet supplement, I found it on Amazon along with Nupro. After i looked at the prices and reviews of all the different brands, i was impressed with the high reviews for nupro as well as its reasonable price. I ordered a pnd and within a week, Sammo was noticeably improving, and after three weeks, he was a different dog. His coat was shiny, the pimples were gone,, his breathe smelled better (he's still a dog after all). but he was noticeably improved n appearance and behavior, with more energy. Just for the sake of science, I withheld the Nupro for a week, and sure enough, the little guy's problems were quickly returning. I put him back on the supplement. and after another week he was all smooth and shiny again. I now give it to all my dogs, even the ones that don't seem to have any problems. I'm pleasantly impressed; for once, something that works as advertised. 5 stars and two thumbs up!

Incredible stuff! I have bought this for my 7 year old boxer Abby before, but after a downward financial spiral due to covid-19 I hadn't been able to get this in a while and she was back to bad eating habits, being very finicky, losing alot of hair, etc. Since I am now working I was able to get this again and she is back on track! I mix the powder in with her dry food and some water and she gobbles it up!Now she is back to eating all her food regurly, her coat is softer, and shinier, her eyes look brighter. This stuff is just great.

I had originally gotten this product to help with my older dog's energy level and what I think was depression after her "sister" passed away. She had become a picky eater and was getting unhealthily thin and all her hair was thinning as well (vet said stress mixed with separation anxiety). Some mood medications were recommended but the side effects were a little scary so I got this in the hopes that it would entice her to eat again and encourage better hair growth. I mixed this with her usual 1/2 cup TOTW food and half a raw egg twice a day and noticed an immediate change. I don't think it was the egg because she had turned her nose up at egg, bread, hotdogs, everything. While I've read that some dogs don't care for the flavor, it was effective for what I wanted it for. Sophie's coat is back fuller and lusher than before and her appetite has returned to normal. Energy level is still lower than before Sadie died, but she doesn't seem miserable anymore. I'd say it's not a miracle cure but definitely effective and definitely worth buying.

Purchased this item for my two pugs whom switched to a homemade diet after deciding they did not want to eat kibble anymore. The product lasted one month for two 20 lbs dogs. Will need to buy a bigger container for the future.

I decided to try this brand of supplement after my regular brand wasn't available to order... I have 3 dogs - 2 are NOT picky eaters and 1 IS a picky eater. None of them like this supplement. They eat around it. They had no issue eating the previous brand. I've tried mixing it in with their kibble and they will only eat it as a last resort. I'm only using 1 scoop - container recommends 4 scoops.
