Why are these packaged in a single use plastic? please stop doing that

These products must be packaged so that they are not damaged during receipt, stocking, shipment preparation, or delivery to the customer. Place units in a sealed poly bag, shrink wrap, or box. I'm not sure why the seller hasn't opted for something like a sustainably sourced box which buyers can then recycle, repurpose or compost. It is an option but a lot choose plastic. I've purchased other similar items in a box or packaging which can be recycled easier.

What percentage of these are cotton and what percentage is bamboo?

I bought them, but no longer have the packaging. I think they’re 100% cotton. I think bamboo is in the description so they’ll come up in searches for paper alternatives. I love them & use them as reusable paper towel.

do they work to clean windows?

Once these have been washed a few times they are really absorbent, so yes I think they would work great for cleaning windows. Hope that helps.

So why is it described as “bamboo” if it’s 100% cotton?

I see bamboo in the title, but not the description further down. I speculate they included it to increase search results, but I can’t be sure. I’ve seen things like that before such as “Boys birthday” as part of the title for a unisex toy. I purchased these un-paper towels & they are cotton. If you’re seeking bamboo, you’ll need to keep looking and check the product description.
