Willow Tree Shelter for The Holy Family, Pierced-Metal Nativity Backdrop

Some reviewers have given this bad reviews based on the fact that it is too small for the large willow tree nativity set. I think there is some confusion. The item listed "shelter for the holy family" says in the description that it was made to go with "the holy family" sculpture. This is a 7.5 inch one piece sculpture with just Mary, Joseph and baby Jesus produced because of requests for a smaller, more reasonably priced willow tree nativity set. There is also a set of animals that are made to go with this smaller set, the "sheltering animals for the holy family." I think the confusion is that there are two different nativity sets mixed on the same ordering page on amazon. The basic larger set is named "6 piece nativity" and is to a 9.5 inch scale. It fits well with the "creche" and all the other sets listed from this order page like the "three wise men" and the "ox and goat." If you collect the other willow tree figures the large nativity set is quite a bit bigger than the regular pieces. My daughter set up some of her other figures around the large nativity set and it makes Mary and Joseph look like giants. The normal figurines are more like a 5.5 inch scale. Don't get me wrong, the large nativity is very beautiful and well worth the price. It will be a cherished heirloom for years to come. But just be aware of the different scales. If you read the descriptions it should help you know what to expect. Hope this helps clarify for those looking to purchase a set.

This is a very sturdy nice looking piece to add to Willowtree nativity! Looks very nice to my display!

It draws your eyes to the figurines. They are very light colored and need a darker background to show them off.

This metal background forms an appropriate frame for the Willow Tree Holy Family Nativity set. The sheltering animals are just the right size and scale to join the basic Holy Family statue. We also have the metal backdrop. All of the elements are nicely detailed, carefully executed, well protected for shipping and storage outside of the Christmas season. We wish the Holy Family set also had Wise Men available to match their scale.

I have had the Willow Tree Nativity for years and could never come to grips with spending almost $100 on the wooden creche. So glad I didn't!! This peace is so beautiful and goes seamlessly with the simpleness of the Willow Tree Nativity Set. I have it displayed on my entry way table with a set of white christmas lights and garland and the light shines beautifully threw the cut out designs illuminating it's intricate detail! But just to let prospective buyers know, this piece is somewhat fragile. It's not made from a durable hard wood like the other $100 creche. This is made from a thin piece of medal that has intricate cut outs throughout and sharp edges. So if you have small hands in your house it's probably best you go with the more durable option or keep this one high out of reach of little ones. Love it! :)

It is beautiful - but I don't think it works well with the taller figures. Out of proportion. Otherwise - if you have smaller figures, it is a simple way to have the idea of a stable. It is very pretty.

This was my personal manger scene that I have added to in the last few years. I ordered another backdrop but couldn’t get here in time. My second choice became my first and I am so happy with it.

ich habe diesen "unterstand" für die andere grippe von willow tree gekauft. dafür ist er leider ein wenig zu klein. habe ihn jetzt etwas erhöht gestellt und so passt es. ansonsten ist er super gearbeiter. die stanzung ist genau und wunderschön. eine lichterkette oder kerze dahinter und der unterstand wirft schöne muster
