Does this connect to a ipad mini and maybe show netflix? how does it connect with ipad mini? wireless?

Completely mechanical like no Bluetooth.Only fit s devices that are 4"-6.0" you slide the device into the front flap and holds the phone only works with phones that are retina scanning capabilities and gyro scope so I found that the Samsung galaxy s series 4- 6 work best and unless Netflix has virtiralreality 3d option with gyro scope.I had high hopes for this device and was very dissapointed.

Does any of the display get cut off with 5.7" devices? Seems the cut out area for viewing would only fit a 5" display and the rest cut off.

I took my Homido headset to work, and we tested it with my coworker's Galaxy Note 3. There wasn't anything being noticeably cut off that I could find. We tried a couple of different games and a 3D movie.

Whats being pressed against your face? A padded cusion foam, hard plastic....?

Foam lining its comfortable for having something on your face feels like one of those things on alien but just foam

Technically yes but because the image needs to be split into 2, what you would see wouldnt look correct.
