This is an excellent toner for removing remaining cleanser and dirt, and especially for exfoliation. Mine did not come with an applicator. I just shake it a few times onto a cotton pad (just enough to dampen it), then apply to my face. I recommend cotton pads over cotton balls, otherwise you waste some of the product and might apply too much and irritate the skin. NOTE: If it burns your face, you should try to rinse it off — try using water with some baking soda dissolved in it to neutralize the acid. For me, I needed heavy exfoliation so I used it day and night in the beginning. I use it just nightly now... unless I’ve had a peel or some sun exposure and need to skip a few days or weeks. I have light colored, semi-sensitive, dry skin (I’m 63 and live in the low desert). With the exfoliation, my skin creams perform better (they aren’t just sitting on top of layers of dead skin). A bottle will last a long time. I am on my second bottle... which I bought 10 months ago and still have plenty left.

The product works for my aging but still oily skin, HOWEVER, I will not buy this one again. The packaging, while elegant in its white glass bottle, includes the most lame “applicator”. I couldn’t tell whether any of the toner was coming out or not, and finally just pried out the little plastic nozzle and just pour it out onto a cotton ball. Really people, just put it in a plastic bottle and give us a sprayer or wider bottle mouth so that we don’t spend so much time getting the right amount out. As others have mentioned, there is a lot of product waste while dispensing, and for $30 I’d like to use all of the product.

This is amazing very gentle. It’s made a great change to my skin. I have dry skin and I have to clean the dead layers off. It’s been amazing.

Even as I age, my skin remains oily and acne prone. This toner is perfect for me. I agree the applicator is awful...the toner comes out way too slowly. But it is easy to pry out the little plastic piece, and after that delivery is fine. I appreciate that the company doesn't use a plastic bottle

Was looking for a toner with lactic acid to replace a more expensive one I've been using. Love this! Leaves my skin feeling soft and glowing.

I'd heard great things about this toner. In fact, I read online reports by beauty consulates that believed this is one of the best toners available. First, I accidentally bought the cleanser which didn't work for me though admittedly it did seem to sooth my skin. But I was still breaking out. I have hormonal acne so my assumption was that the cleanser just wouldn't be the right fit. I do think it would work for someone with normal acne. So when I got this toner I hoped for the best and got the worst. It burned badly and my face got redder and more irritated. I ended up with areas of my face acting like I'd burned them. I never thought I had sensitive skin because I always compared mine to my best friend's. But I now believe my skin is just less sensitive while still being sensitive. I'd be careful with this toner but I believe it can work fine for people who do not have sensitive skin.

I was so disappointed in the bottle used for this product especially for the prices. It seems to me that there should be a better way to dispense the product other than shaking it out in your hand while trying not to waste any of it in the process. Certainly packaging could be more practical for better use!

I have sensitive skin and I have no problem with it. It works great.
