This is a fiber supplement that doesn't cause bloating and gas, and it actually tastes GOOD! It has the closest taste to original 'TANG' that I've come across -the taste of tangerines-. This dissolves in water very easily and I'm very glad I just learned that it does not cause the excess gas that other fiber does...

When Citrucel was discontinued, I was excited because it said "Compare to the Active Ingredients in Citrucel". It is more expensive, has a CA lead warning, and can't be returned. I put the tablespoon in a full glass of water which immediately formed into a big glob. I stirred and stirred and it broke into smaller globs that settled to the bottom of the glass. So...when you drink it, you get most of it in a gulp. I notice it also had a choking hazard warning on it. NOT a safe product and so unhappy I can't get my money back.

It’s effective but difficult to mix. No matter how hard or fast you stir it some unpleasant globules remain in your glass. Citrucel does not have this problem and it also has no lead.

Doesn't mix into water as well as citrucel. Helps to heat cup of water in microwave for 30-45 seconds before stirring in powder

Does not disolcve well, taste is not as clean or crisp as the not discontinued Citrucel.

This works just as good as name-brand and mixes without any hassle. I mix this the same as I do the name-brand powder and have absolutely no problem. Trick: Do not add it to water - Add water to it. I take a heaping teaspoon and place it in an empty cup. Next star the faucet running. Begin briskly stirring the dry powder in the cup, then continue to stir briskly while adding water until the cup is full. Drink up. (Don't forget to shut the faucet off)

Product immediately sinks to the bottom when added to water. It gels and does not mix. I am a regular user of Citrucel and due to availability issues decided to try this product. Unfortunately, not even close. Also, it comes with an odd warning label saying "consuming this product can expose you to chemicals including lead..." . This is not included in any of the product information on Amazon and there is a "No Return" policy on this item. There is also a bar code sticker placed over the manufacturer info that is impossible to remove. It's distributed by a company out of Michigan, but I am concerned it may be manufactured in some unscrupulous place. This stuff needs to be direct deposited into the toilet...without passing through a human.
