I bought this blanket mostly because I was looking for something large that I could take to the beach. I'll be giving it a tryout next week. Initial thoughts are positive, as it seems like good quality and the sizing seems to be true (70 x 80). I was worried if it would be too stiff, but it isn't. It's a good thickness. I like how it folds up and has the carrying strap, as well as the zippered pocket. The only thing I didn't like was the smell when it arrived. It smelled like rubber-I guess it's the smell of the waterproof backing. I sprayed the blanket with Febreze and hung it outside for a couple hours and it seems fine now. I was aware when I bought it (based on other reviews) that it is not supposed to be machine washable. However, I read several people did wash it on gentle cycle and hung it out to dry. That's what I intend to do, when it needs to be cleaned. It isn't so expensive that if it falls apart in the wash I will be devastated, but I am hoping that doesn't happen. From inspecting it, I think it will hold up.Edited to add: I've used this six or seven times at the beach in the past year, and have been very happy with it. I do find the material tends to make me hotter, so I usually lay on a towel on top of the blanket. But I love it, because I can keep all my stuff on the blanket and out of the sand, as well as have space for me and another person to lay on it. It's good quality too, and holding up well.

Es un tapete bastante grande, de aprox 1.70 x 2.00 metros. En un lado es un material como de franela sintético, se siente suave e incluso cálido, aunque no se ve muy fácil de limpiar si se derrama algún líquido, pero se sacude con facilidad para quitar el pasto. El reverso es un plástico suave, también fácil de limpiar y de sacudir. Es fácil de enrollar y el diseño es agradable. En un momento de urgencia podría incluso usarse como frazada o impermeable. Nos gustó mucho.

We've used this in our local parks. Its got decent padding - won't stop a sharp rock or stick from poking you but will help with the small twigs and pebbles. Comfy. Could sleep on it. Not very big despite the XL, but enough for me (195cm) to lie with most of my body on the mat. Crumbs shook off fairly easy too.

Love this blanket! Bottom is water resistant and the top is a really nice fleecy material. Its super spacious, fits multiple people lying down and I love that it folds up nicely in a carry bag (the little zipper compartment is great for storing small things like sunscreen or some valuables!
