Simply the best.
This is my favorite pre-workout, period. I just looked at my Amazon history and I've ordered 12 tubs of this over the last 18 months. My devotion to this product has only grown stronger as it continues to deliver exactly what I need. I've been a gym rat for the better part of 7 years and have tried a lot of PWOs: MusclePharm Assault, Jack3d (ugh), NO-XPLODE, Optimum Nutrition Pre, PreJYM, AML Pre off the top of my head). PurePump is, in my opinion, the best preworkout on the market for the following reasons: 1) Just the right amount of caffeine (200g in 2 scoops). I have a high caffeine tolerance, but this amount is just perfect for me. Plenty of energy when I need it but no crash, no jitters. Other PWOs really scare me with their caffeine content, as much as 400g per serving is unnecessarily high. 2) No sugar, no fillers. Listen, it's unflavored. No, it doesn't taste great, but it really doesn't taste that bad. I drink it straight in no more than 6oz of water. It never upsets my stomach, and is really not hard to swallow. I pity the other reviewers and their oversensitive taste buds - I mean, seriously, a bunch of whiners on here! It kind of tastes like a not very good green tea. It's such a tiny price to pay to get as clean of a product as this is. Listen, I'm just a guy who likes to workout and watches what he eats. Sugar (especially artificial sugar) is *REALLY* bad for you and should not be included in your routine (occasional exceptions are of course allowed and encouraged, but It boggles my head that people trying to get fit will workout 6x a week and ingest a multitude of artificial sweeteners every time they walk into the gym. I've been forced to use other PWOs (with a lot of sugar) when I've accidentally not ordered my next tub in time - and my workouts usually have significantly lower output, less "swole" and I usually end up with a head ache from the sugar. 3) It WORKS. I take 2 scoops before every lift (~5x a week) for the last 18 months, without any "tolerance breaks". It still gives me a great, clean, steady fuel of energy and an awesome pump. Never a bad experience. Just wish I could feel as energetic and strong the other 22.5hrs a day when it's not in my system :( One of my 2016 resolutions is to leave more reviews for products that I love. PurePump is the one supplement that I cannot live with out. I'm moving to Australia soon and am already stocking up to bring this with me. As a 8+ year user of preworkouts, I wholeheartedly recommend this product to anyone (male and female) who wants a little more oomph in any of their workouts.

Clean Pick-Me-Up
Without getting into the finer details, let me just say that I'm a 40 year old man with a very busy and very exhausting daily schedule. I wake around 6:30 am each day and work until about 10 pm. When 10 pm rolls around, I'm usually pretty wiped out. The idea of hitting the gym or going for a run is always there, but the energy to do so is not. I've used other pre-workout supplements in the past and they've given me energy ... sometimes way too much energy. My heart would be racing, I would be jittery; I was completely amped up! I would be this way for hours. When I finished a workout, I would still be jacked and I couldn't fall asleep. Additionally, those pre-workout supplements I used in the past were full of all sorts of nasty ingredients. Over the years I have become very selective about what I put in my body; today I would never use any of those other pre-workouts based on their ingredients list alone. That being said, I set out to find a clean pre-workout that would help give me the much needed energy and focus for 10 pm workouts, but wouldn't keep me up all night and make my heart feel like it was going to explode. I honestly didn't think I would find anything. That is until I stumbled upon Do Vitamins PurePump Natural Pre Workout. Do Vitamins PurePump Natural Pre Workout does exactly what I want it to do. It gives me a great boost of energy and helps me focus. The boost of energy feels natural too, it's not a jittery high or heart pounding experience. I find this boost of energy generally lasts about 2 hours ... sometimes a bit more. So, by the time I finish my workout, get home and shower, I'm usually ready for bed and I don't have any issues falling asleep. In addition to the energy/focus boost, I love the short, clean list of ingredients. I'm not concerned about putting this product in my body and I don't have to worry about any weird side effects. Because the product is not flavored, it does not taste good (as mentioned by just about every person who has written a review), but that doesn't bother me because I'm not looking to sip and enjoy this as a drink; I'm looking to toss it in some water, chug it down, and get my workout on. There is one other aspect, besides taste, that some may not like. I find this product does not dissolve very well when simply dropping it in water and trying to mix with a spoon. Again, this doesn't bother me because I don't care about the act of consuming the product; I care about how the product works once consumed ... and this product works great! I've been using Do Vitamins PurePump Natural Pre Workout for 6 months now and I plan to continue using it. I've made some terrific positive gains while using this product. I'm in better shape now then I was in my 20's and that's because Do Vitamins PurePump Natural Pre Workout gives me that boost and focus I need to make every minute at the gym or every minute of my run count.

A Clean Pre-Workout
NOTE: This review was originally published on my website A Clean Pre-Workout: When I was doing my research before going vegan, I learned that vegans can get deficient in certain nutrients, including, but not limited to vitamin b12, omega 3’s, iodine, calcium, protein, creatine, beta-alanine, and carnitine. It was those last three that really scared me, as they are essential for muscle growth, regeneration, performance, and even cognitive and sexual health. In a whirlwind of internet searching, I stumbled upon a product that I thought could have some strong potential. It was Do Vitamins Pure Pump, marketed as a pre-workout, and it contained all three (creatine, beta alanine, and carnitine) of the nutrients I was looking for. Not only did it contain these, but it was also certified vegan, looked like it was clean (free from impurities and contaminants) and the company looked legit. Then a little voice in my head smacked me across the face: How in the hell is this product vegan? I mean, it contains amino acids that you can only get from animal sources, after all. Doing a little more research, I found out that long ago these amino acids were synthesized in a lab, and they are not drawn from animal sources. Now if you are a raw vegan or you are apprehensive about eating anything man made (I’ll admit I have a hard time eating man made things as well) then this product may not be for you, but since deficiencies in these three nutrients can wreak havoc on your system, I recommend this product to all vegans (IMPORTANT NOTE: Veganism is all about balancing your needs with your conscious effort to protect animals and the environment. A TRUE vegan would eat nothing at all, because everything in the world uses animals in some way or the other. Therefore you must decide INDIVIDUALLY how far you are willing to go with you veganism, based on your INDIVIDUAL needs). The Nitty Gritty: So I did what any excited consumer would do: I ordered the product online. And waited. It takes a while for them to ship it (it’s seems like a fairly small operation), but I still got it in a timely fashion, about 7 business days. I decided not to use it as a pre-workout, but take one scoop every morning, making it more of a vitamin supplement than a pre-workout. It takes a few weeks of persistent supplementation to see results, but After this period I did notice my muscles were fuller and harder (So were other parts [citrulline, arginine, blood flow, etc.] but let’s keep it PG here). I had no noticeable strength gains (that I could for sure say I got stronger), but I don’t train for maximal strength (which creatine seems so good for), so that’s not a big deal to me. I also notice more focus after taking it, which could be the creatine as well, or the caffeine, which this product also has in it. Overall I will continue to supplement this product every morning, as I feel the benefit outweighs the cost (really the only cost being the price). Pros: Just the stuff you need, and nothing you don’t. This product has no artificial colors, flavors, sugar, nothing GMO, and generally just no crap. Solid Company. Do Vitamins is a boutique supplement company, and they aren’t shady like some other ones. Clean product. It’s been tested and certified many times over. Caffeine. This could be a con for you, but it’s a pro to me. Caffeine, used wisely, is a hell of a performance enhancer. Cons: Price. The stuff is pretty spendy, at $39.95 for 8 oz, and they don’t do any coupons and you won’t find it cheaper anywhere else, as well. Taste. It has nothing in it but the nutrients and aminos, so it tastes like those. You cannot drink it straight up and enjoy it, mix it in with something strong. Creatine content. I wish it had a little more creatine in it, but the amount in it is fine, especially if you take it with Post Pump. 4 out of 5 stars It is a good, solid product, and it is a nice little supplement to add to your stack. Is it perfect? No. But it gets the job done that it’s supposed to do. If you’re looking for taste, look elsewhere. If you’re looking for just the nutrients, then this is your product. I love Do Vitamins’ clean approach to supplements, and other supplement companies should follow this trend, as I believe clean eating (this includes supplementation) is the future. In Conclusion: I believe in this product. I use it myself. Therefore I recommend it to you. Check it out, you'll probably like it.

Is this worth it? I think so.
This stuff so far has delivered on its promises.. I've used this product about four times so far, yet I can already tell this will be a top weapon-of-choice in my arsenal for getting in shape. First, yes, this stuff is very "clean." If that matters to you, then this is a good option. Personally, I just like the idea of something that doesn't have unnecessary fillers that don't serve much purpose. With that being said, I have yet to take the full two-scoop serving. I find that one scoop works just fine and helps to give me just enough "push" before a workout. However, if you are very caffeine tolerant or have a high BMI, then I would go for two. The scoop is about the volume of maybe a heaping teaspoon, and is easy to take if you're smart about your approach. The first time I took it, I mixed it with a small cup of water to see if the taste was really as bad as everyone made it seem. Taste is subjective, but honestly, I've had worse tasting workout supplements (Scivation's lemon-lime BCAAs for example - but again, subjective). I did notice that the powder tends to clump together when placed in water, so it gave me an idea. How I take it now is I take a sip of water and hold it in my mouth, then taking the little scooper, I drop the powder into my mouth with my head tilted back so it all lands on the water already in there and not on my tongue. Immediately, I follow that with another sip of water and swallow it all down. This way, you barely taste it at all if anything. It bunches up into a little clump and you just swallow it like you would a pill. Done. Now everyone is different, but this affects me by giving me mental focus and good energy (it kicks in in about 15-20 minutes). If I don't feel like getting up to resistance train, or do cardio, this helps me get up and get it done. I do notice a slightly bigger pump when I'm finished, and most importantly, I have yet to crash from the caffeine in this product. Very smooth energy curve (for me). So in conclusion, YES, I would recommend this to anyone looking for a clean energy supplement before their workouts. Also, please always be cautious of what you put into your body. Supplements supplement. They do not replace good nutrition or self-discipline. Train smart!

The best!!!
The only pre workout I will use!! I love how clean it is and it really does a great job!! I love that it’s not destroying my gut with fillers and added flavors or sweeteners. It’s honestly the absolute worst taste though. If you’ve ever taken a BC powder then you know what this might be like but honestly, I put a small amount of water in a cup and use either a half to a whole scoop (depending on how I feel on the day I have a 3 and 4 year old lol) then I chug it. If you have that mindset, you’re golden cause it works!! Just don’t expect it to taste like those other pre workouts that taste like candy but do a number on your gut overtime. Overall I say, chug it and get your workout on!! 💪

Do not simply mix with water.
Cons: Although not mixing an unflavored supplement with just water may seem common knowledge to those experienced with supplements, even mixed with something like a gatorade/powerade zero is appalling flavor. What doesn't help is the supplement does not mix as well compared to other brands. With floating sediment around your sports drink, it's pretty rough. I've resorted to simply dry scooping to get through the flavor. Admirable that there's no flavoring occurring as to preserve the product, but having to push through even self-flavoring isn't ideal. Combine that with the lowered quality of mixing and you can imagine the struggle it is to take on your way to the gym. One personal preference I'm not a fan of is the serving size/scoop ratio. Two scoops is one serving and the amounts don't add up to the levels contained in other brands. However, this may be a result of trying to stay under the "certified for sport" accolade. Pros: This is one of the top rated pre-workouts on Lab Door and the feeling and quality associated support that. I've trusted Lab Door for supplement reviews and research for a few years and I was eager to try this one. Most notably, this supplement is certified for purity and for sport (athletes still be cautious regarding banned substances - the gold standard for taking supplements is still obtaining NSF certification). With these accolades, and the difference in sensation, pump, and amino profile, one can be assured that you're receiving high quality that (at least psychologically) makes a difference in the gym. Suggestion: Although a "PillPump" exists, it does not the same ingredients. It is still rated as a top pre-workout regarding purity. The biggest con is the taste/mix-ability. If you can get through that then you'll enjoy a great pump and energized feeling without too much buzz (depending on tolerance).

Hands down best pre-workout I've had.
Ive read many people complain about the taste of this pre workout, and to be honest, I don't know how you're mixing it? For me, I use high quality products every chance I get, so perhaps someone is using a cheap juice or just something that is packed with artificial flavors... not sure. I have mixed this with organic fresh squeezed apple juice and its easy to drink, some noticeable flavor but nothing to make a fuss about. But every time I work out I mix this with some apple juice, fruit and vegetable juice, coconut oil, frozen fruit that I cut up beforehand and some protein powder from Lifetimes Life Basic plant protein (5 fruit blend) and its the most amazing drink I've ever tasted. We just need to get creative when it comes to making flavorful drinks, no need for people to turn away from a great product because they didn't know how to mix it properly. Clean workout, never a crashed feeling or jitters. Im able to do more than I usually would as i feel that initial pump kick in, and depending on my routine, this can sustain me for hours while in the gym. I do eat some walnuts, almonds and bananas as I'm working out with the occasional protein cookie and drink about 32 ounces of water afterwards. Great great product. I have been using it for the last two years now. Wouldn't use anything else. I also use the post pump for after workout protein shake and I'm telling you that when i skipped that stuff, I was sore the next day. When i add it to my after workout drink, I'm barely sore unless deep stretching, great for recovery.

I liked it because of the fact that it's basically a ...
So, I've been purchasing this item on and off for over a year. I liked it because of the fact that it's basically a pure pre-workout formula with no proprietary blends or synthetic compounds. However, after advancing my knowledge of bodybuilding supplementation (and biochemistry, as that is my major and I will be graduating in a few months), I finally learned exactly what compounds should be in a pre-workout formula, as backed by science (and data). Well, it turns out that this preworkout formula has (almost) all of them! And even some in excess, which is fantastic! However, throughout the time that has passed since I first bought this brand of preworkout until now, my supplement arsenal has expanded quite a bit and I ended up procuring all of the ingredients listed in the supplement facts list on the back of the cannister. So, as an experiment, I ended up taking all of the said ingredients mentioned in the exact quantities that were listed in the supplement facts, but got a completely different result. This pre-workout formula does not feel good after it enters my body. I have no other way to explain it other than that. But it does not feel clean. After I took all the ingredients independently, I did not feel this sick feeling at all. I felt very clean. That being said, it's important to know that supplements are not regulated by the FDA and, therefore, supplement companies can add whatever they want and effectively lie about the ingredients they added (or did not add). To be fair, I can't say for sure that this company is dishonest, but it could be a problem with the processing or the storing of the ingredients that may account for the differences I felt. And, before you try to discredit my opinion, know that I have been into bodybuilding for over 6 years and have been taking pre-workout formulas for nearly just as long, trying dozens of brands. Bottom line: this product is fantastic in theory. It could be the perfect pre-workout product. But when I take the compounds independently, I get a much "cleaner" feeling.

Why does it make me so itchy???
Within 15 minutes of taking it, this stuff makes my face and ears itch like crazy. It took me a few days to figure out what was going on and I finally realized it was always after taking the Pre-Workout. And the sad part is I don't even get an energy boost. I have taken many different brands of Pre-Workout but I've never had one make me itchy.
