Very flavorful backpacking meal with recognizable ingredients
I just panned the Wild Zora breakfasts in another review. But both the Beef meals were very good and I will buy them again. The Bedrock Beef Chili tasted great. The seasoning had a little more heat than most bland freeze-dried foods. (That's a good thing!) It was easy to make and didn't require simmering so no pots to clean. Best of all, the ingredients were clearly recognizable when looking at my meal. The beef (which was a good texture) looked like little pieces of carne asada. Tasted like it too.

Tasty, convenient, but surprisingly quite spicy-hot
This freeze-dried meal was quite tasty and absolutely convenient for our group of campers. That said, we thought it was too spicy-hot. The ingredients list clearly shows the hot pepper, but that does not suggest the degree of spicy heat. A thermometer icon or other way to indicate it’s quite spicy would be great. Also, the sodium count is high, and we could not think of a reason so much salt would be needed. Still, even though this product is expensive, overall we thought it was a great addition to our week of camping meals.

Outstanding!!!! We took these backpacking and we were amazed at the flavor and how filling they were!! I also love the clean ingredients!!! No preservatives or additives. The packaging is great too. Just add hot water right in the bag. Easy clean up. I am going to start bringing these to work for lunch too!!!!

Try something different
This was not good. It took about 15 minutes to “cook” and was basically bland soup after following directions.

quite tasty esp for camp food
Really good camp food, but remember to mix up the ingredients! Not quite filling enough for me, but I really like that they are paleo.

Nothing your favorite seasoning salt can't fix
For my taste it was a little bland. Nothing your favorite seasoning salt can't fix. The ingredients seem better quality than some of the other brands. Good size portion for one (while backpacking).

Probably the best backpacking meal I've ever had!
First time trying this brand and I was amazed! It wasn't the usual bland and needed seasoning backpacking meal. This had a really nice spice to it and was incredibly hearty. It was perfect for a 20 degree Colorado night in the mountains. Will definitely try their different flavors.
