2 Pairs Shimano Brake Pads R55C4 Dura Ace/Ultegra/105 with Fixing Bolts, Factory Number: Y-8L298062

Received my order very fast and at a great price for genuine Shimano parts. Items were boxed in Shimano original packaging and included 4 replacement brake shoes and 4 retaining screws. Took 5 minutes to replace old worn shoes with new shoes to restore safe braking. I will purchase these again from Onzolo when my other road bike needs replacement shoes.

I just started road riding again after a 15 year hiatus and wanted to replace all the old rubber on my ~20 year old bike. These fit the brake shoes on my ancient Ultegra calipers and were simple to install. The stopping power is noticeably improved, at least over the old hard pads. I only have 56 miles on them, so take this review as you will. If you need replacement pads for old rim brakes, these seem to work fine.

I upgraded my worn-out Ultegra brake pads with these new ones (see photo). This package included two pairs of brake pads, allowing me to replace both the front and rear pads. The braking performance appears to be the same as the previous ones, which is to say, good. Plus, they were straightforward to install.

These Shimano brake pads are reliably good, easy to slip in the brake shoes, and don't squeak if set up correctly. They are significantly more expensive that many bike brake pads but for the assurance of quality I paid the price. I don't have experience with less expensive brake pads. The Shimano pads that came on my Trek road bike lasted a long time so I expect these pads will as well. FYI - these rim brake pads are for aluminum wheels, not carbon wheels.

My brake pads were about 50% worn, but 5 years old, so I figured they might have hardened with time and be less effective. The braking on my brother's bike (also rim brakes) was much better than on mine, so I decided to buy new pads. Very easy to install, but I can barely notice improvement in the braking. Maybe they'll be better after settling in. We'll see. Definitely a good buy if your brakes are worn down completely. I had 5 years and 10,000 miles of riding on the old pads.

Perfect replacement for original Shimano pads that had gotten dry and hard from age.

I replaced the old pads on my Trek 1.2 Alpha bike. The old pads were not super worn but they were awful, I could barely stop. These break pads were so much better!! I felt like I could stop on a dime. Unfortunately I only got to use them three times before my bike was stolen 😭

Vastly better than the positively dangerous no-name brand I had been using that squealed and had almost no stopping power and, as a bonus, they're much quieter, although not completely silent. It is a pity that I have to say this at all but they do seem to be genuine, or at least they carry Shimano's trademark, even though they did not arrive in retail packaging. I'm trusting my precious Zipps and my own safety to them, so they had better be good.
