In this slender volume, Rumi explores the joy of friendship and the agony of loss. These poetic meditations on the most profound of human relationships are like crystals: they sparkle with the many hues of the rainbow and contain worlds within, capturing us with their mystery. Here are poems that cause us to reflect on our own relationships, to experience again the intensity of friendship, the ache of loss, and the profundity of immersion. This is a book for poetry lovers, Rumi fans, and all gift-giving occasions; a book to treasure and to share. Previously published in hardcover as Whispers of the Beloved. Imitating others, I failed to find myself I looked inside and discovered I only knew my name. When I stepped outside I found my real Self. Replaces ISBN 9781571746825. Review: Sweet little booklet - I ordered this book around the time my dog, my best friend of sixteen years stopped eating and I received it about the time, I took her to the vet where she went to doggy heaven. I liked Rumi before and this booklet helped me grieve as I found writing in the book things like, "love", "loss" or "finding inner peace." Review: Touches your heart! - I have only read a small portion of this book but have enjoyed it from the first poem. I find the title correct in that the poems do touch your heart and make you think of them and how you have encountered the same throughout your life. Very lovely. Highly recommend.

Pretty and full of excellent quotes!
Cutest little Rumi book! Attractive cover and design inside! It was nice to have the quotes centering around one theme!

Beautiful but boring
I, unfortunately, didn't connect with the majority of this poetry collection.

Prepare to fall in love with God!
I am in love with Rumi's poetry. He freely expresses his ecstatic love for God. If we were as in love with the Beloved as Rumi is what a wondrous planet this would be.

Love, love, love!
I love all things Rumi and am not disappointed in this little book. If you have not yet read any of Rumi's poetry, you owe it to yourself to do that now.

Not a bad collection, but just not my cup of tea. Cover was stained
I was a bit disappointed once I saw a stain/mark on the cover of my brand new book. Cover aside, this little book was a very quick read. I’ve read Rumi’s poetry before, and for some reason, this book didn’t appeal to me as much. I could relate to a few of the poems which really stood out to me, including the one about finding yourself (which is in the Amazon description). Also, it’s important to note that many of the pages are filled with poems/quotes in Farsi, so that’s a “waste” of pages, so to speak.
