The seat has a recline feature which has been very nice for our 10 month old. I like that the back of the seat is higher than his head for comfort and safety. It was fairly easy to install once I found the correct placement for it to clear the seat and bike tire. The straps are easy to get on and off and hold our baby in very well. I tried this seat with my 40 lb daughter as well and although she fit safely in the seat, it was too much weight on the back of the bike to be able to control it easily. Once I stopped and was off the seat the back tire of the bike started to slide out from under her almost dropping her strapped in to the bike to the ground. So although this can hold 40+ lbs beware it may not be very safe.

Can’t go wrong with Hamax as far as I know, and that’s true of this child seat as well. My 3-year old son has been riding on this for the past half year, and will be able to keep riding it for years to come! The seat is nice and secure, and both protective and comfortable for the kid. It’s also adjustable to fit different size racks which is a bonus. I would easily buy this product again!

Installation proved pretty simple after playing around with the seat and assembly and reconciling the pictures in thr manual to the product. Once installed, making the size adjustments for my son was incredibly easy. He rides comfortably and safely and the quick release feature is great as we are using it on multiple bikes and I was able to get a second bracket for ~$40 to keep on the second bike, so can switch it between the two with ease.

I bought this bike seat to replace a cheaper brand that wasn't holding up. I'm so glad I bought it, as it is sooo much better. The seat is suspended and has a little bounce, which makes it so much more comfortable for the kids. I love that the foot rests adjust for different sized kids, as well as the back slides up and down. I'm addition, the seat reclines. This is great because I have a 1 and 2 year old, and I use it for both of them. It is removable, so when we put my bike on the car rack, I put it in the trunk for safe keeping. This is definitely worth the extra price. Don't cheap out when it comes to your children's safety

I ride road bikes and use a 60cm frame and this child seat meets my needs. I do not get heel strikes while pedaling, unlike rack mounted designs from Thule. Did not bother with their frame mounted design because other riders mentioned heel strikes. Product is easy to install and straight forward to meet the installation guidelines recommended by the manufacturer: height above the tire and distance away from rear axle. Doing this is the hardest part of the installation, I used an improvised plum bob to measure distance from the calibration mark on the seat to my rear axle. My only complaint comes from watching a video of my riding when there is a kid in the seat. With a child in the seat, it sways when making tight turns. I suspect this can be mitigated by getting a frame mounted seat or purchasing something additional. I had no idea the seat swayed until I saw a video and I had ridden several miles prior to seeing the video. If you have ridden with cargo in panniers, there is no difference in the ride. My kid and I enjoyed our first ride. More to come. Thanks for a good and useful product.

This is the third baby seat I have attempted to install on my Huffy Beach Cruiser and I finally got it to work! The seat did bump the tire a little but once I installed a rear rack under the seat it worked perfectly! I am beyond impressed with how comfortable I feel putting my one year old in this seat. It feels sturdy and he absolutely loves it. Even gets the occasional nap with the recline feature. Needless to say the seat is worth the price and seems like we will have it for a long time as the quality of the material is great!

I was on the fence on which toddler bike seat to purchase, and the Hamax ended up being the best purchase. It was much easier to set up than I expected and is very sturdy. My daughter helped me put it together, and she loved the ride. It's a bit of a change getting used to having a toddler on the back of the bike, but once you get used to the change in weight distribution, you don't even remember it's back there. I like that there is a little more space between the bottom of the chair and the back wheel, allowing for a little more give when going over bumpy terrain without worrying about the bottom of the chair scraping the wheel. this was a great purchase, we will get a lot of use out this bike seat!

I’ve had this seat for about four months now, having lots of fun riding around with my now 18 month old. I am writing a review now because my biggest fear about having this came true and I crashed the bike with my son on board. The crash was totally my fault, being stupid (trying to carry something on the handlebars because we were just going a short way, and it caught in the front wheel), and had nothing to do with the seat being on there. The bike started to flip and then went sideways, so the seat came down on its side. But the amazing thing is that my son literally did not have a single scratch on him (definitely can’t say the same for me). He had a tiny little scuff on the temple part of his helmet and was scared of course, but otherwise totally fine. The seat was pretty scraped up so I guess that took the whole impact. I am so, so thankful that he wasn’t hurt and I do think that having such a quality seat made a big difference in keeping safe. So I highly recommend this seat, but be careful and always make sure you and your kid have helmets on!!!
