Sturdy and small pack size
I’m really impressed by these cheap poles. I usually use expensive Leki poles, but wanted something small enough to go inside my rucksack if I’m scrambling or rock climbing. I didn’t want to buy lighter, but much more expensive, carbon fibre poles, as I didn’t feel I’d use them often enough. (I mainly planned to use my robust aluminium Leki poles still.) Putting these together, I was immediately impressed by how well-made they are. They actually feel slightly lighter than my Leki’s, but pack down to a much shorter length, so they will easily fit inside my rucksack. I’m 5’3”, and have preferred to use trekking poles set at a single length for 30 years now (regardless of whether I’m going up or downhill). The shortest setting on these (buying the shorter length option) feels very slightly longer than I’d usually set my Leki’s, but they will be far better than not being able to take poles with me. The handles feel comfortable, and I like that they came with a wide variety of pole end options, Velcro to keep the folded poles together, and a handy storage bag to carry them in. It is easy to snap the pole sections together, and the resulting poles are stable and sturdy.

Great hiking pole
Great hiking poles, easy to assemble once you know how. They fold up small enough to put in travel case or attach to my backpack. I have only used them up to 600m but found them sturdy and reliable to take my weight when climbing down steep rocks and uneven ground. I'm 5'5" and they are a good length for me. They are lovely and light, comfortable on the hands and lock securely as long as you follow the instructions.

Cheap and cheerful. Great for the price.
I've definitely owned far better fold up poles, but I also paid 4 times the price for them. These are not super light weight, super sturdy, but for the price they are a very good option. Grip is very comfortable, they are easily to use and should stand up to your average hill walkers usage. Having broke many poles, in my opinion you won't find a super sturdy option that also fold up. These will pack into a rucksack nicely and as I said be a very good option for the price you pay.

I'm VERY impressed with these.
I bought these to replace a pair that I bought in a charity shop. They were fine, but had a twist-lock that (i) wasn't very secure and (ii) was sometimes the devil's own job to release. There are lightweight and have a very positive lock. The lock is also very easy to release. That means they're either (i) locked solid and therefore safe to put your full weight on if needs be or (ii) unlocked for folding. They are very quick and easy to both deploy and fold down. In use, they feel very comfortable and certainly do make walking a bit easier and quicker. The conventional wisdom is that you can use Nordic walking poles for trekking, but not trekking poles for Nordic walking. These are trekking poles. I have no idea what the difference between the two walking styles is and (being indifferent to organised walking groups) have no interest in finding out. (I'm a grumpy old bugger and don't want to be bored to death by retired primary headteachers or social workers.) But what I can say, is that these are an excellent walking aid when travelling the footpaths and hilly areas of Britain. There are four points to bear in mind: 1 - when off-road, remove the rubber tip and use the metal end for much better grip. 2 - take very great care to make sure that the stick is well behind your foot or you'll almost certainly trip yourself up. 3 - watch a few YouTube instructional videos and learn how to use the poles properly and safely. It will take you a few hours to become fully used to them. 4 - and this is VERY important ... grip the poles as advised. If you do it right, you can use your hands to arrest a fall in safety; do it wrong and you can guarantee a dislocated or broken thumb if you fall. A word of warning about which length you buy: take the recommended measurements seriously. I'm a tad shorter than recommended for the longer ones, but I bought them anyway. Don't make the same mistake! These are just about comfortable for me on their very shortest length. If you are less than 5' 6", get the shorter ones.

Woweeeee!!
They are just perfect ..me being 70+ they keep me balanced on long walks ..usually do around 3 hours 3/4 times a week. Sometimes terrain is a bit yukky.. And they keep my posture to how it should be ..easy to assemble and fold away very sturdy .great price and are accompanied by perfect accessories so it's a 5 /10 stars from me .. they also have a little bag to put them in (folded) for when you are planning walking on your holidays abroad .. The sturdiness is very good and I trust them ... So here's to happy hiking with confidence.. I would definitely recommend to anyone ....

Excellent walking poles
Excellent walking pole, very easy to adjust the length and I like how the measurements are marked on the pole so you can quickly set it at the height you require after breaking down to put in your luggage. The storage bag supplied is also very handy. Seem to be giving me a sturdy support and are a nice weight.Handles are comfortable and the hand straps are easy to adjust.Nearly purchased a cheaper set of poles I was looking at, but after reading some of the reviews on these poles I decided to purchase these.Would definitely recommend.

Excellent for being sold as a pair at a great price, foldable, easy to use and with accessories supplied.
Bought these trekking poles for a walking holiday in the Italian Alps and absolutely loved them. Pros: * Folded small enough (smaller than traditional poles) to fit in a smallish suitcase as well as a rucksack. * Easy to assemble following the instructions enclosed). Unlike the normal 3 piece trekking pole with a screw assembly, this pole slots together and is held together using tension which is maintained by a small button which clicks out to prevent the top piece from sliding down or the stick collapsing. It is essential to get this piece of the assembly correct. * Height is adjusted using a clip which maintains the height set even when the pole is folded (a mega plus - no fussing around to sort them out each time I used them - just quickly put together and go). I found this clip mechanism had to be adjusted using the small screw so that it is tight enough to stay in place but just loose enough to allow the clip to work. Once I had this set properly I had no problem with the poles altering their length in heavy use. * Cork style handles were comfortable and not unduly sweaty even in high temperatures (I am sensitive to latex so this material was an important factor for me). * Very lightweight but sturdy and strong in use, (even if I tripped over them) and I had no concerns that they would give way with my full weight (10 st) on them. * Mud baskets and rubber tips supplied (neither of which I needed to use in summer on unsurfaced tracks and paths). * Storage bag supplied kept poles together and tidy (velcro straps on handles help this too), allowing them to slip easily in and out of a full rucksack. * Smaller size bought to suit my height so I did not have to carry around extra pole that was not needed because of my height. Cons: No anti-shock system but I did not find this a problem at all and there is debate about whether it is useful anyway. I have osteoarthritis of both knees and without these poles I undoubtedly would not have been able to achieve the wonderful walking experience that I had - managing to walk over 50 miles of tracks, including rough steep uphill and downhill sections, in 6 days. However I am a relatively fit 60 something woman and have good upper body strength which allowed me to get the most out of using the poles. The best experience comes from making sure you know how to use them (having them adjusted so your arms are at a 90 degree angle at the elbow as you grasp the handles; putting hands through the straps so that they are held by the thumb so you don't lose or drop the pole if you need to do something else with that hand while holding the pole; perfecting a stride technique and rhythm that gives you optimum propulsion on different types of terrain; checking regularly that the correct height has been maintained). There are online articles and videos available to make sure you definitely do know how to use them correctly and then really benefit from the support and assistance that they can give. Two poles are definitely better than one if you have knee problems.

Love these Poles they saved my vacation.
Easy to extend and to fold. I did however have to be careful disconnecting the first joint as it would jam if it wasn’t twisted just right. Packs small and fits easily in case. Very strong and sturdy. Only a few times I had to tighten the clamp as if not tightened well the pole colapses. The straps and hand support is very comfortable. Easy to adjust height. After using full time for one month due to a sprained ankle I would have to give it 5 stars.
