High quality, easy to put together, worth the money.
I researched a mobile kitchen island/ coffee cart for awhile before deciding to go with this one! The reviews all seemed really good, so I said why not: the reviews didn’t lie! First, the quality of this cart is great. It isn’t made of cheap, flimsy particle board. Each piece, even the backing, is heavy and sturdy. The top is a heavy piece of wood that’s been finished with a waterproofing that keeps it from getting water rings or stains which I love. It was easy enough to put together that I did it ~mostly~ alone within two hours. My husband had to help with the metal locking mechanisms because those were a little tough to get fully closed but, I know each piece is actually secure in place thanks to those. This is a quality piece of furniture for the price- less than $300 for the black cart. I would highly recommend and I’ll definitely be buying from this brand as long as it’s made by the same manufacturer! No missing parts, great size & ample storage. I will say, I was hoping to put my kitchen aide in the cabinets but the shelving is too short to fit the kitchen aide with both shelves installed. But there’s plenty of room for it on top! High duality wheels, rolls well and the leaf will be really nice to have when we have family gatherings! Truly surprised it turned out to be so nice coming from Amazon!!

Better than expected
I was a bit concerned after reading some of the reviews. However after receiving and putting together this item, I’m very impressed and satisfied. I purchased the antique white/wood top. Pros -included all necessary items, except a Phillips head screwdriver. You’ll find that they included extra hardware just in case. -put together, this item is very sturdy. I was surprised at the quality of each individual piece, particularly the wood countertop. -pre-drilled holes seemed to line up fine. -instructions were detailed enough, with diagrams, without being overly complicated. -lots of storage space with the adjustable shelves and deep drawers. -looks great. Cons -there is a small blemish on an exterior panel that I’ll need to cover up with some paint. -the locks (for assembly) can be a bit difficult, just use a little brute force, I had to use a small hammer on a couple. In summary, this item assembled well. It looks great and is easy to move about but don’t expect to be able to whip it around, especially after it’s full. If you want a custom cabinet, pay for one. Otherwise, I think this is hands down a great deal and I’m very happy I chose this item. In response to some other reviews: -there was a smell when removing some of the items from the packaging, but it dissipated soon. -my drawers move smoothly and there is a stopping point, they don’t just fall out. If you yank on the drawer, I’m sure it may fall out but not with normal use. Tips: -when assembling the drawers, don’t tighten each screw one at a time. Leave a little slack until all the screws are in and then go back to fully tighten. This may solve the wonky drawer issue I saw mentioned in a review.

attractive, functional, and I love it!
Well made, sturdy, and good looking, I'm thrilled with this kitchen island. Unlike some islands that have two rods that slip through holes in the back of the unit to hold up the drop leaf, this has hinged supports that fold against the top/back of the unit. It's a LOT better because it does not cut down or interfere with cabinet and drawer storage, AND it looks a lot more attractive. Also, when the top is folded down, it sits more perpendicular to the floor rather than at the weird angle other units do... all together more pleasing to the eye. Since I switch out the placement of my table and my island for large holiday parties, mobility of the unit was a must. The casters move well, and make it easy to place on either the hard flooring or the dining area rug. My only dislike was that the caster locks were hard for me to use: too small for me to use my foot, too tight to use my (arthritic) hands. Although this cost a little more than some other islands, I believe it's good value for the price, since it has a good weight limit, feels sturdier to me, and is attractive. My daughter had no issues assembling it, although it did take a couple hours, mostly because of all the pieces (mostly the drawers)

Not too bad! Needs rubber or urethane wheels though....
First, ours showed up with NO damage. Can you believe it? The box was a little beat up, but the fact that it weighs like 150lbs, what do you expect. We expected some damage, but there wasn't any at all... It goes together pretty easy. I have several small powered drills/drivers, the small, DYI type 6V drill with screw driver tips, we keep in the kitchen cabinet for small projects worked great, otherwise, you have to hand screw the screws in, which could make it longer to get together. But it really isn't hard. PAY ATTENTION to the drawer instructions, because its kind of easy to get the sides mixed up when assembling the drawer boxes. HINT: the roller wheels of the drawer runners, go to the back of the drawer box. It used "FLIP" locks, and they are hard to "FLIP" all the way when you are ready to "LOCK" the piece at that place, but I just used a small pair of pliers, that helped push the "LOCK" all the way closed. As a guy who has done quite a bit of cabinet work in the past, I was expecting the drawers, and doors to need to be adjusted and fiddled with to get them lined up. SURPRISINGLY, they didn't need ANY adjustment! That's a first! Now, this unit is what we call an "open" box type of cabinet, meaning, the front is mostly frame, the back and sides are solid when assembled, so, the cabinet can be " racked" ( meaning moved out of square) if you put pressure on the sides, which will make the doors and drawer fronts, go out of align UNTIL, you lock the thing totally, and solid with the "FLIP LOCKS" and screw the top to the frame. Then its a solid unit. It's not flimsy mind you, but until its all locked, and the top is screwed on, it can "rack", making the doors and drawer fronts go out of alignment. What I did was, I held the cabinet, so the doors lined up at the top, ( It really was VERY little out of alignment, but I'm a bit OCD ) THEN screwed in the screws attaching the top to the frame of the unit. I suggest using a power drill with a screw bit for the top. Otherwise, you probably wont be able to hold it AND screw the screws in. ONE LAST THING, the wheels are hard plastic, with a rounded profile, so when we rolled it in our kitchen, on LAMINATE flooring, they can easily scratch your laminate if your not careful. Once the unit is filled with stuff, it gets pretty heavy, so we put cushions under each wheel, so the weight of the unit wont dent the laminate flooring when it sits for long periods of time in one place. Moving it fully loaded, on laminate is a bit scary, because we're worried that the rounded wheel faces could leave dent-tracks in the laminate flooring. LISTEN UP HOME STYLES....Source RUBBER or Urethane wheels!! Other then that, its a great cart, looks really nice, GREAT added space in the deep drawers, two shelves make the cabinet part REALLY nice, the Leaf is big, and works very well. Our top was NOT warped as others have stated. We did NOT use the towel holder, or the side rack. I plugged the holes and it looks fine. The leaf actually makes this a pretty nice sized table top when open. So far, we're very happy with it.

Perfect Kitchen Cart. Stylish, Sturdy & Functional!
This kitchen cart exceeded all my expectations! The navy blue color is absolutely stunning and adds a bold, modern touch to my kitchen. The wood countertop is beautifully finished and surprisingly spacious—perfect for prepping meals or even sitting down for breakfast with a cup of coffee. Assembly was straightforward, and the quality is fantastic. It’s sturdy, doesn’t wobble, and the drawers glide smoothly. The wheels roll easily on my floors but lock securely when I need it to stay in place. I also love the little details—like the gold hardware and towel rack, which elevate the whole look. It fits perfectly in our space and gives us the extra storage and counter space we desperately needed. If you’re on the fence about this one—buy it. It’s the most functional and stylish upgrade we’ve made to our kitchen!

As good as it gets
When you consider size, storage options, functionality, price, ease of assembly and sturdiness, this kitchen cart checks off all the lists and is a perfect option for small kitchens (like mine) or large kitchens alike. It took about 2-3 hours to assemble but it was not difficult at all and the instructions were pretty self explanatory and I had no difficulty putting it together myself. The wood top can be used as counter space, cutting (with a cutting board) or baking board. The cabinet doors are just the right size with enough space inside to fit a bunch of pantry items along with some medium to some larger size appliance when not in use. I the folding leaf is great and very sturdy and gives you the space if more counter space is needed or if you need another dining table using bar stools. The drawers are just the right size where you can put a lot of things it it but not so much where things get lost. The paper towel roll is great and you can hang a cloth kitchen towel and the spice rack can also be used for other things. The caster wheels roll easily and 2 can be locked as needed. (Make sure you put the locking ones toward the front of the product). This is exactly what I needed and, as a product, this is good as it gets. Note: There were some dings (see pictures) in the shipping, which I didn't reflect in my rating because how can a product and the manufacturer be responsible for the shipping? The packaging looked sufficient but I don't think the shippers handled with much care as the box had dents and even a couple of holes in it. As such there were some nicks that didn't affect the looks (all inside) or the functionality except for one thing. One of the drawers wheels was cracked (had plenty of packing on it - I blame the shippers on this) and I used gorilla bonding glue to keep it sturdy. It doesn't roll quite as smooth as the other drawers but still better then other ones in my kitchen.

I'm very excited about this new addition to my kitchen
I was worried when the box arrived, because it looked like it hadn't been handled gently. Upon opening the box, the foam packaging was smashed up pretty brutally, and I figured this thing was doomed. Nope. Nothing was broken. The two shelves each have scuff marks on one side, but that side is down, and it's not even worth dragging out my phone to take a picture. One of the back panels and the inside of one of the drawers had minor nicks, but nothing ended up visible in the finished product. The packaging did its job! This item was fairly complicated to assemble, and I had to go digging through the packing to find a missing piece. I took my sweet time, doing everything to the highest standard possible, and using glue to reinforce the drawers and various dowels. I think I spent four hours on it, including the time I spent cleaning and dusting every little piece inside and out. It's a very nice looking unit, and I wanted to let it look its very best. (I got the black one, incidentally.) I struggled with the flip lock fasteners. I eventually discovered that a flat-blade screwdriver could be used as a lever to give these thing at a little extra push. One of the flip locks was mounted crooked, and the top would not go on. In my attempt to adjust it, I broke a chunk of plastic out of it. It seems to be holding just fine, and the construction, overall, seems really sturdy. The shelf brackets that came with this unit fit very well, and they're nicer than average. The shelves are easy to adjust, and sturdy. The drawers aren't constructed all that well, but as inexpensive drawers go, these are better than average. They have thick bottoms, and feel quite solid. The leaf on the back fits really well, and the leaf supports on the back have a positive lock with just a little spring tension provided by stretching a metal hinge to its limit. It was clearly engineered that way, and it feels like a really nice, solid design. The leaf won't support much weight, but it sits up flush and level, providing a larger top with no seam that will bother you. This is a big deal to me, because my previous kitchen island had a droopy leaf that used to drive me nuts. I think this is a really good looking unit, and I am already in love with it. I moved everything over from my old kitchen island, and I have two empty drawers, and have only used about 3/4 of my shelf space. I have new options that I didn't have before, and this unit is so much more attractive. I like how everything is closed. My old island had open shelves on one side, and they were constantly collecting dust and dog hair stuck in a film of kitchen grease. I cook in my kitchen. Grease aerosolizes and forms a film on things, which I have to go scrub off periodically. That's just life. So having everything inside closed doors and closed drawers should really help with maintenance. I imagine it will be possible to get this unit really sparkling squeaky clean. In the quibbles department, the worst thing I can say about this is that there was too much wood filler in one part of the top. This kind of construction is typical of furniture at this price point. The top is made of a bunch of random scraps that have been machined with a special joint that has a lot of glue area, then the whole thing was glued into a big panel. Wood glue is stronger than natural lignin, and this kind of construction is solid. It's a good way to make a big panel out of scrap, and it looks nice enough for the money. (A proper butcher block top would probably cost as much as this entire unit.) The problem is they go over these glued up constructs with wood filler, then they machine it all down to finished dimension. Where the individual scrap boards were a little thinner, you end up with visible wood filler once it's all said and done. It's really unfortunate when this wood filler shows up on the top layer of a piece, and that was the case here. It's not the worst I've seen, but it's a minor quibble. That's pretty much it for quibbling. I'm very excited about this new addition to my kitchen. I've been shopping for a new island for years, and I never thought to try shopping online before. It worked out very well. I am very happy with this purchase! Especially since I snagged a deal and got it at a really good price for the holidays. Even at full price, I think it would still be a five star unit. For flat pack furniture, this is pretty good. I expect it will last for years.

Sturdy, Solid, and so glad I purchased this!!
I did my research prior to my move, saw this cart and in time settled on this one, primarily because I needed more prep space, as well as more storage space because my kitchen is limited in cabinets and countertop space. I finally began putting this together last night, and let me tell you, I couldn’t be more pleased to have chosen this cart!! As I caught on to how the latches were designed and how to use them to lock down adjoining parts, I kept saying to mother who assisted me in this task, “I will absolutely write a review on this.” Packaging: Superbly done! It is a very heavy box, and is definitely a Two-Man lift. Once inside, you can walk it, so to speak, to wherever you want to set it up at. I was concerned about damaged parts since opening the box 2 1/2 months or so after its delivery. There were flesh wounds to the box, but inside it was flawless, and that got me more excited to know I made a great purchase! Everything, and I mean screws and all were clearly marked, and the instructions were very clear on when and how to use them. Bravo 👏🏽👏🏽 Setup: So much was already done in terms of hinges, dowels and whatnot being already in place, so it would be easier to attach the other side; drill and Phillips head screwdriver needed, but following the instructions were good especially once I visualized in my mind clearly which way it had to be put together. Nothing was flimsy, but I will say, you need a hammer too unless you’ve got a great grip to get the locking mechanisms closed properly. One little ding: On one of the drawers near the slide, I did see a crack, so I drilled a very skinny pilot hole, and used an left over screw from a different section that I had put together, drilled that in; problem solved! No one will ever see it, and the drawers fit perfectly.

Great cart
Great cart for dollar amount. I was a bit sacred when the package came damaged but the packaging on the cart kept it safe. WE put it together easily and it has lots of space. Moves easily across the hardwood floor.

I'm impressed!
I must say, usually these knock down type pieces are furniture are a pain to put together but this kitchen island was the easiest ever! The unit was carefully packed, not one scratch on it. every piece was labeled correctly. Every hole lined up properly and after assembly it is so very sturdy! I'm not sure what units some of these reviews are talking about though. It was childs play! Only reason why I gave it a 4.5 rating is that it was all in one box and this old lady had a hell of a time getting it from point a to point b. Thank you HomeSense and thank you Amazon! Well worth the money! Perfect for our Cabin!
