Hunters Delight Open Season Gift Box - Taste Of The Wild Summer Sausage

My husband told me he would really like some "gamey" sausage for Christmas, so we went online and found this. His report follows; the wild boar had the sweet taste of pork with some of the gaminess he was looking for, but the elk had too much pepper, he could barely taste the elk meat due to the pepper. He loved the venison; it was exactly what he was looking for in a gamey meat. He said he never felt there was much difference between between bison and beef in taste to begin with, but he thought the bison tasted good and it was a good summer sausage. Each sausage is a lot smaller than we remembered our Dads getting when we were kids, but my husband really enjoyed his gift, so we were both really happy with it.

Nice selection of quality game meat, that doesn't taste too "gamey". Their blend is quality & the packaging is well designed.

if you are looking for an original gift...this will do it...I took away one star because it was very expensive and small...but the gift receiver verified the exotic flavors came through and were thoroughly enjoyed..
