So far very pleased
I got this primarily for slicing home made bacon but have used it for many other things. Sliced deli meats and cheeses as well. It works well and is quiet compared to the other one I bought and sent back because of the noise and less than acceptable cuts. There is no comparison between this one and the $80 ones you see all over the place. I didn't want to spend the $ but I'm glad I did because of the build quality and ruggedness. You can slice through product quickly once you get the hang of it. Most important, be careful of the blade when cleaning. Use more than extreme caution because it is really razor sharp. Cut proof gloves highly recommended when cleaning. The clean up and disassembly isn't terrible and once you do it a few times it goes pretty quick. Just be careful of the blade. The blade has three hex screws that hold it in place and I strongly suggest you get a 3.5mm t handle hex wrench to remove the blade. The wrench that comes with it is just an L wrench and you could slip because there is no leverage. In summation, not a bad appliance so far and hope to get years of service out of it. Btw, it is a heavy machine and you will need some muscle to move it but I would expect that on something built at this level. Very sturdy.

Powerful and built to last!
This slicer is amazing! The build quality is solid and the blade is extremely sharp. It cuts frozen meat smoothly and evenly. Easy to clean, quiet, and feels like a professional machine. Perfect for home use — totally worth the investment!

Great Slicer
Took a while to get. But worth the wait.. Takes a little while to clean up. Really no different than any other. but cuts like butter. I read tons of reviews from lots of different slicers. The BESWOOD250 seamed to be on the top of the list. Granted I've only sliced a 7lb roast I cooked, ?Had room for much more. and a couple of Turkey breasts too. Quiet, super easy to use. definitely a little heavy and need a place to store it.... I made a place!! I used the old plastic gear ones before... They suck! Hope fully this will last for years. Build wise I think it will. I really don't have anything bad to say about it. ALL GOOD!!

Quality product at a decent price
Like one of the other top reviews, I had recently purchased an $80 slicer (mostly plastic) from Bed Bath and Beyond (Cuisinart). I've recently gotten into hot pots and making my own bacon, so I wanted an easy way to slice up all the meat and veggies. While the cheaper one worked OK, the tray was fairly small and the meat kept getting pulled off and into the blade. Overall, it was functional but frustrating. Based on the other review and after looking at all sorts of options, I pulled the trigger on this one. You'll immediately notice the heft of it - probably 30 pounds as compared to the 4 or 5 pounds of the cheaper one. I have used it for one hot pot with some soft to firm veggies in various thicknesses and some super thin sliced meats. I have to admit, it is a huge improvement over the cheaper one. It feels solid and professional quality for a very reasonable price. It is much larger than the other one, so find a place to store it. It made quick work of all veggies that I put it in and will slice meat from paper thin to thicker. It worked great with bacon and I only had to trim a small portion of the meat off before slicing. I'd imagine a 12" version wouldn't require any trimming. Cleaning is actually pretty easy. The carriage comes off with one thumb wheel, as does the blade guard and the sharpening housing. You can then remove the blade with 3 hex bolts and wash all of that stuff in the sink. Wipe down the housing and all surfaces and you are good to go. Maybe 10 minutes maximum. One of the other reviews noted that the housing below where the tray slides was getting dinged up - I see that on mine after a couple uses as well. Just cosmetic but worth noting. Very happy with this so far.

Great slicer for the money
My wife (Lisa) got me this for Christmas, and it's been a great slicer so far. I shopped around for years to find one with all the features I wanted in the price point I wanted to pay, and save for one feature, the Beswood 10" nailed it. All stainless and aluminum construction, it's solid (read: hefty, at 35 lbs), seems to be well built, and slices like a dream. Set between 0 and 1, I can get shaved thickness on ham, pastrami and turkey all day long. The carriage moves like silk, and cutting couldn't be easier. Cleanup is a bit of a chore, but I like to get the entire unit clean, so I go that extra mile. Safety is built into the slicer, and as long as you're careful and pay attention to what you're doing, there's not hardly any way you can cut yourself during normal operation. That said, for cleaning, you're going to want to get some kevlar gloves, or something similar for handling the blade. Some things I wish were a bit different, but are NOT by any means show stoppers are: 1. I wish the blade had a better way to remove than the three hex screws. Also, when you get those unscrewed, you sort of have to push the retention bolt back into the blade to work it loose, often times resulting in the blade popping off and dinging the base of the slicer. Note to self to put a cloth or some kind of cushion there when removing the blade. 2. Suction cup feet. Woulda been nice... just sayin. 3. A longer pull on the carriage for slicing bacon. As it is, the carriage just won't do a full width pork belly. Not a big deal, just slice it in half and you're fine, but that means the pieces shrink up when cooked, and you pretty much get bacon bites. Good thing I have mad knife skills as a backup. Other than those three things, so far this is a dream slicer. Pictured above are a recent pastrami I did and the Beswood sliced all 8 lbs in just a few minutes, with no effort on my part, other than keeping the thing from sliding around on the counter, which, note to self... put a nonskid mat under it.

Very Nice Slicer. Great for my pit beef and onions.
Just purchased it. It is a bit large but that is what I wanted. It appears built well. It is heavy, but unless you're a complete wimp you should be able to move it with just one person. Can't believe people say it requires 2 people to carry it. I had to make a small adjustment to the back plate because it was touching the blade when completely closed. Took 5 minutes with a 13mm wrench (simple). Sliced a smoked eye round roast for pit beef sandwiches and an onion. It worked beautifully. Cleaning is not that bad. The guide that holds the object your slicing comes off very easily for cleaning. Blade is easy to clean but be very careful because it is sharp. The rest is easily wiped down. I went with this slicer which cost a little more because I've used other slicers that friends have had and they were pretty crappy. This is pretty darn nice. ****Recommend****

AMAZING Home Slicer!!! Highly Recommend!!!
WOW and DOUBLE WOW!!! I had a little trouble getting it on time since Amazon obviously lost it for a while, but WOW, was it worth the wait. I finally got it on February 11th. I had to battle with the weather for a good smoking time, but I finally got some Pork Loin brined and smoked up into Back Bacon yesterday. Well, today I got the new Beswood slicer out and washed it up good and sliced my Canadian Bacon. I ABSOLUTELY LOVE THIS SLICER. I turned it on and it just had a little hum. The thickness dial is spot on too. The Chrome plated blade on this is razor sharp and nothing stick as it comes off the blade like a dream. For the price and how much I use it, I couldn't ask for anything more. I'm old and crippled up, so moving it around is a bit of an issue, but I got it done. It's about 38 lbs and awkward to carry....but I'll suffer I'm so happy. I just had the wife take out a pork belly for me to smoke up some regular bacon and the loin I just did was for a friend so I told her I need to also get another loin for us to have some Back Bacon (Canadian style bacon). Ahhhh. Clean up was a bit more of a job than my old cheapy slicer, but well worth the effort it takes. I had a little trouble getting the knobs loose since it was new and they must have a Gorilla cranking these things down for shipment. At 69 Y/O I don't have the grip I used to. The blade is also a bit of a pain to get off....The cheap allen style wrench they send is a pain so I'm going to use a T style wrench that I have next time. All I can tell you is if you want a fantastic home slicer, this is the one for you too. One other thing.....the last slice has to come out a little thick as the gap between the pusher and the blade is a little wider when slicing thin. Not a big deal though. Gotta have something to munch on when you just made PERFECTION!!!. And if you don't smoke your own meats and bacon....you don't know what you're missing. And I can't wait to use it to slice my smoked cheeses too. God Bless All!!!

Great
I always read the one stars before I buy anything. I did on this product as well, but after really looking at the pictures I could see it was well made so i bought it and I am happy I did. Now, the first one I received didn't work right, I returned it and got another with no issue. The company was easy to work with. Most of the time the one stars have a valid point. But , I can't understand what any of these people are talking about. This is a really solid and serious cutting machine. All pieces are solid and medal. You hear the motor turn on and you know it has power. The cutting is fantastic. I cut chicken breat so thin it looks like membrane. I could see my fingers through it. I saw people say it's complicated to clean and you do have to take things apart but again I can't imagine anything that wouldn't to be taken apart after cutting raw chicken. All the parts are easy to wash but you have to be careful when cleaning, the bery sharp blade. But it's not dangerous to use. I can tell you it's designed that you can get to all the spots and clean it well. That would be the big issue for me if there were spots where chicken could build up, but there is not. This is a really well build professional quality cutting machine. All the others I saw had plastic parts and this is all ALL medal. Other than some safety shields that you don't even need and I haven't used. If you look at others machines you will see a plastic guide, that you push the meat to the slicer. I could see that becoming a problem eventually. This machine doesn't have any of that. I don't know why this thing would get a one star and if someone said they bought it for their deli I wouldn't be shocked. Definitely a good machine.

Great Quality
Believe the reviews! The quality of this surpasses my previous 10" slicer that was branded and sold by a big outdoor store. Don't waste your money going that route first, just jump ahead and buy this one. I had named my other slicer Dexter due to having to tent off an area with plastic when I used it. It would fling meat everywhere. This one, little to none is being flung anywhere. Very easy to use. Clean-up is as expected and not all that difficult. Just use caution and clean it well when done. The quality of the Beswood is definitely worth the price as it feels industrial in construction and should last a long time. My only issue, the box I received had been opened already. Didn't appear to have anything missing or broken. A little disheartening when spending this much and having it opened already.

A Must-Have for Saving Money and Having Fun!
This slicer has saved my family so much money and made meal prep a lot more fun! It’s super easy to use, and I absolutely love using it. Cleaning is mostly fine, though I wish the blade was a bit easier to access (maybe I could ask AI for some tips! 😉). I had a smaller meat slicer before, but this one is definitely next level! Highly recommend!
