You can use potatoes from youkan gold to sweet potatoes. Ayn thing from medium size to very large size. You can also use other vegetables. Have fun with your Taqterwister.

what is the wattage of this cutter?

The unit says 120 vac at 60 Hz and 1.20 amps which gives us 144 volts. I hope this helps. That all works out to just about .75 of a watt. I hope this help.
