Magnetic Hat Clip Pencil Holder with Strong Magnetic Clip for Standard Pencils and Carpenter Pencils (1)

Got this for my Dad just because I thought he might find it useful since he's a carpenter. When I was visiting him last I noticed he had been using the clip and it was evident that it had been used quite a bit. Safe to say he enjoys it! Great purchase to gift to a handyman, or use personally. For the price it is a no brainer.

I bought these on a whim prior to taking a group of students on a work trip to help repair homes in WV. This worked exactly like expected and held up well even when I loaned them out to some of our more hyper students. It does only fit certain size pencils but it held all my carpentry pencils well.

This is just the sort of thing I was searching for to keep my pencil from constantly falling out of my t-shirt pocket while doing projects. Metal pocket clips on pencils work, but they can be a pain to clip onto flimsy t-shirt material. This will make it easy to slap the pencil onto my chest pocket without having to fiddle around too much. The only negative I have for the clip is that the magnet promptly came unglued from the plastic clip the first time I tried it out. I will just epoxy the magnet back on, but the plastic clip isn't really even necessary for my t-shirt pocket. It works fine with just the magnet on the inside and the "power plate" on the outside of the pocket. Thicker clothing this winter will require the clip though.
