Can’t get enough of tailwind! I first started using it in March 2025 when training for my first ever Ironman and it noticeably improved my performance. Great nutrition, balanced sugars, helpful electrolytes, and a flavor that isn’t too strong. I recommend tailwind to any endurance athlete!

I’m never sure about these. LMNT, for example, is widely praised but to me tasted terrible and pounded my gut. SO, I’ll report that Tailwind is just what I was looking for. Easy on the gut, no artificial sweeteners, and a non-objectionable taste. It doesn’t “taste good “ IMO but it’s NOT a struggle to drink; it’s like you had a glass of something flavored and let the ice melt for a while. It’s just sort of watered down. Personally I like that; too much flavor becomes cloying to the taste IMO. I’ll keep using this.

Does the job. Fuel my ride and will purchase again.

I tried Tailwind on the recommendation of a friend training for a 100 mile ultra marathon. I've tried a few other similar products but have always been dissatisfied for one reason or another. In ththe past 2-3 weeks of using Tailwind for any of my longer trail/mountain runs (>7 miles), I've been impressed. I feel energized and haven't had any leg cramping issues, even on runs of 20+ miles. Haven't experienced any GI issues. I usually run with gels and electrolyte tabs by haven't had to use them since starting Tailwind. Tailwind tastes pretty good and is light and refreshing. No residue or nastiness in my Camelbaks afterwards. My only complaint is that at the end of a longer run, I intensely crave nothing but regular water. It's almost as if my thirst is not satisfied when I get towards the end. Maybe I'm getting too many electrolytes? I've been using a scoop less than the lower recommended concentration and that seems to be helping. I think I need to continue playing with the concentration. Bottom line: I haven't been dealing with any leg cramps since using Tailwind and I feel great during my runs. I will continue to use it whenever using my Camelbak and it is definitely a major part of my race plan for an upcoming 50k. 4.5 stars in my book.

I first purchased a variety pack to try a bunch of the flavors, and honestly I liked them all. Tropical buzz was my fav, but I’m sure at some point I’ll switch it up for variety. I started trading for mountain bike races a couple years ago and my coach highly recommended tailwind. Before that I was trying to cobble together my own race fuel from various sources but this makes it so easy and is tasty. It fulfills all my nutritional needs and keeps me riding for longer. I highly recommend this product if you are an endurance racer. It’s not something I would recommend if you are not pushing your system. I.e. if you just want a delicious beverage, this is not for you. This is for serious athletes or people who simply push their systems to the limits. Flavor wise, it can feel overly sweet, but as an athlete that is one thing that needs to be replenished. I have not found a better product, imo, for this purpose.

Use this to supplement gels for my last marathon as my stomach has become volatile. Obsessed. Was very gentle on my stomach and tasted nice enough! I’ve put the folks in my run club on and now we are a Tailwind cult.

The performance I get out of my runs while using Tailwind is excellent. No digestive issues at all. The powder dissolves well. No sugary aftertaste. The only thing I am a little disappointed in is the flavor. There isn't much of one compared to Skratch. I like that you get 50 servings per bag so I will continue using it. If you are an endurance athlete I would recommend Tailwind as your hydration choice. UPDATE....After using Tailwind for quite some time now and running a few ultramarathon races with it, I won't use anything else. Anyone that has ran a race over marathon distance knows how vital it is to have your hydration and nutrition dialed in. Tailwind takes care of several checkboxes on that list. I still wish it had a little more flavor, personally....but it has nothing to do with the performance of the product.

I notice a huge difference running ultras and marathons using this! Less thirsty and twice the energy. The hype is real with tailwind and you won’t regret buying it! Love it!

good product, seems to do the job and doesn't leave you with that horrific sweet taste in your mouth that you can get from other mix products

Been using this product for several years. I run and bike and this electrolyte mix has never been a problem (unlike others I've tried that bother my insides!)

I'm a big, big fan of Tailwind, but I was sent the wrong flavour (Tropical Buzz, not Mandarin). It's quite an expensive purchase and I'm super disappointed not to get what I ordered, especially as it's not covered by Amazon returns. I contacted Tailwind directly who were great and sorted a return & replacement in no time. Won't be ordering off Amazon again!
