Wonderful set of brushes

Works great for detail since they come to a nice sharp point. Great variety of sizes, love the thickness , takes tons of water. Very little hair loss.

Love these brushes! They are extra long and the brushes have good bounce to them. I am not using them for Chinese writing but as watercolor brushes. They came with a mat that rolls uo & ties to secure the brushes nicely and prevents the bristles from becoming mis-shapened during transport when traveling with them. They hold a lot of water and paint and are useful for painting different types of flower petals and leaves. I have seen no evidence of the bristles falling out or shedding. These are a great price for the natural hair bristles.

Other than the big artificial bear hair brush, the set is great. The artificial bear hair brush came a little rough looking, with many hairs sticking sideways. It also doesn't hold water/paint all that great, most of it runs down. Shedding on all brushes was minimal (only one or two hairs, if any). All the other brushes work nicely.

These work beautifully with my silk paint. Holds a perfect amount of dye! Easy to reshape bristles after cleaning. I'm also not finding loose hairs as I was expecting too so that is fabulous!

Nice kit for the price. Lots of variety.

LOVE these!

I was excited to open the package and nice bamboo wrap and the brushes looked really nice and long. The first brush I took out of the pocket was the second from the left in the photo and it has a plastic cover.... I went to remove the plastic cover and in one second the handle came of from the ferrel and plastic part cracked. I was in shock that it was that easy to break. I took a photo quickly to show you. So the rest of the brushes I gently took out and looked them over and did not take covers off yet. The set looks really beautiful and I was hoping it will be lasting for some time. Now, I have to repair the handle and hope the brush is good to do a pretty watercolor painting. The package seemed intact but the inside has a watercolors set that also came loose in the shipment. The package was probably tossed and thrown. I know that delivery people do not always open the gate to leave a package by the door. They toss it over the fence but the inside package is not ever tightly packaged. So it is fault of both the packing people at the warehouse and then also the delivery guys who are in the hurry and not cautious about breakage. I am disappointed but do not think I have time to be returning the set.
