This my 2nd one purchased. The first one I had for 12 years. So it is very durable and long lasting. When I replaced it, I bought two. One for and one for my daughter. Very satisfied.

This is a very well made pie carrier. The top fastens securely to the bottom. The handles fold down flat when not in use. I carried a pumpkin pie in it for Thanksgiving, but it appears to be tall enough to accommodate a meringue. I would give it 5 stars if the four fasteners were a little easier to clip to the bottom plate..... but then maybe they wouldn't be as secure.

I bought this in January and because I didn't need to use it, I just opened it today July 12, 2015 and found out that two of the ends that hold the lid on are broke. And it looks like it stands tall, but it does not. It is more for a pie than a cake with high layers. Now I am stuck with a cake plate that the lid will not fasten to hold it together when carrying it. I do a lot of shopping on amazon and am very disappointed in this product and the fact that I should have opened it to check it out right away, but felt it was protected better staying in the bubble wrap until I actually needed to use it, since my son knocked my other one off and broke it....and I don't have a lot of storage space in my kitchen. I will say the plate is very nice though.

Not quite as tall as I expected. Would not fit a two layer/tier cake. I am going to keep it for cupcakes and pies. Metal plate on the bottom with plastic cover. Not bad.

I find this one a Goldilocks carrier - not too small, not too big, not too heavy - just right. It replaces a big tall carrier that did not have a handle - cakes took their chances in that. I'm happy to get rid of it.

piece of crap, does not seal to base, lock clips broke

I looked high and low for the perfect pie carrier and the GS ES-Bake carrier was just what I had in mind. It is sturdy, opens and closes easily, and most importantly carries my favorite 10'' pie dish.
