27UP650-W Monitor 27” UHD (3840 x 2160) IPS Display, VESA DisplayHDR 400, DCI-P3 95% Color Gamut, 3-Side Virtually Borderless Display, Height/Pivot/Tilt Adjustable Stand – Silver

I upgraded to 2 of these LG 27" 4k IPS monitors from HP 24" 1080p IPS monitors. They were nicely priced for their features, packed well, and delivered quickly. I have them both mounted on an VESA dual monitor stand. Their VESA mounting holes are recessed a bit so you'll need mounting spacers which are usually included in your VESA mount kit. I have these plugged into my CyberPower PC gaming laptop through the DisplayPort outs. PLEASE NOTE: IF YOU HAVE TROUBLE VIEWING THE SCREEN AFTER YOU'VE CONNECTED THEM TO YOUR COMPUTER, MAKE SURE YOU GO INTO THE MONITOR MENU TO SET THE INPUT TO DISPLAYPORT (INPUT MENU) AND SET THE DISPLAYPORT VERSION TO MATCH YOUR CABLE (GENERAL MENU), DisplayPort 1.2 or 1.4. These have 60hz refresh rate so you only need cable rated for DisplayPort 1.2. I calibrated the monitors with my Datacolor SpyderX Pro unit that shows that these monitors cover 100% of the sRGB gamut. The power button is located below the middle of the bottom bezel and it has a built-in LED. The power button also serves as a joystick to maneuver through the menus. Being IPS monitors, I get no glare from behind me where my windows are and the viewing angles are great. Resolution is amazing and crystal clear. I was getting some screen stutter when I'd watch YouTube on one screen and have a website homepage open on the other. I didn't get this issue with my 1080p monitors. To fix this, just go to the settings of whatever web browser you're using and find system and performance, or similar setting, and shut off "hardware acceleration." I use Adobe Photoshop Lightroom to edit my images and it looks great on these monitors with so much more real estate for the user interface. I never tested the speakers on these monitors since I use my laptop to connect to external Edifier speakers. These are overall excellent and I highly recommend them for image editing and general viewing.

Was a great monitor when it worked - sharp images, good size, good color. Woulda liked a better refresh rate but that's fine for the price. Worked one night, then a few hours later, just stopped working and wouldn't turn on. Apparently monitors can't just be replaced under warranty, just repaired as well and that's a process that can take up to a few weeks. Also what is up with the power cable being so short? Can they not at least include a longer one and cable ties??

Just want to thank Amazon again for doing all it can to make for an exceedingly pleasant consumer experience. You deserve all the accolades and please, take a bow. As for the monitor..., unboxing, setting up and connecting is a breeze; couldn't ask for better. The literature with it indicates it was factory calibrated. And so far, all I've done in the way of adjustment was turn on the HDR setting for this monitor in Windows and the thing automatically switched to that profile and the picture is absolutely beautiful. I had seen reviews with comments like "it's only 400 nits, so HDR isn't gonna be that great"... HORSEPUCKEY! I guess they're spoiled by their multi-thousand-dollar rigs. I've been doing the endless researching and system-building thing since the 80's and for this level of monitor, I honestly don't think you could do much better for double the cost. This makes for my 6th monitor over that period and it definitely hits a grand slam for me. I've got a 28" 4-yr old Samsung TN LED 370-nit non-HDR panel right beside it that was another great buy, yet the HDR colors on this LG are so lifelike and brilliant, I especially like what it does for the blues. From what I've seen, that's always the toughest to get right; and this one does it.

Pros: The picture quality is really great. Very sharp 4k, DCI-P3 colors (which is very good), deep satisfying blacks, gets very bright which is important for me because I work in front of large windows, and has a pleasing matte finish. I would not change anything about the screen. Con: There are frequent issues with connecting to laptops. I've had two Windows laptops (the current one also made by LG, an LG Gram 17) and both of them have regular little issues connecting. Just about every day I need to disconnect and reconnect the monitor for it to work. I just stayed at a friend's apartment for a week where there was a widescreen LG monitor and it connected perfectly every time. Mind you I take my laptop with me every day so if you keep your computer constantly connected you may not have this issue. And when it does happens it only takes a few seconds to fix so it's a relatively minor issue but for some reason is extremely annoying to me. Another con: Related to connectivity, this monitor takes a while to start up. This is extra annoying in relation to the aforementioned connectivity issues because I have to wait a while after re-connecting to see if the re-connection worked which often isn't the case on the first attempt.

This monitor produces much lower image quality than a 4-year-old LG 27UK650-W. I have an older LG model, 27UK650-W, which was released in January, 2018 and produces very sharp 4K images. I was very happy this older model. The LG 27UP650-W has better specifications on paper. But I was not able to adjust this newer model to achieve the similar image quality at 4K. The image is just a little fuzzy and I am very disappointed. Although the price is pretty good, I do care about the quality of the image it produces. I’ll probably return it to Amazon.

The monitor was great while it worked. After two months of use it suddenly wouldn’t power up. Looking online it seems that this is a pretty common occurrence with these monitors. I work from home so am heavily dependent upon the tech I have working. LG’s warranty page online states that they have an ‘advance replacement’ option where they send you another monitor and take your credit card details to ensure that you return the faulty one. I was very keen to use that so that I could have as little downtime as possible. The CS rep wasn’t even aware that this was an option but after much holding on the line eventually agreed and said that I would receive emails arranging delivery of the new monitor and provide a shipping label for the faulty one. Three weeks have now passed and LG have neither arranged for delivery of a new monitor, nor sent me a shipping label to return the faulty one. Shame on you LG, your treatment of customers is appalling, and your customer service is a shambles. I own numerous LG products but they will not be seeing any more purchases from me. I am about to order a BenQ monitor as a replacement as if I continue to wait for LG to honor their warranty I will probably lose my job.

I am a picky one with monitors. I used a Thinkvision for years and it has great color and eye comfort, watch it for long time won't make eyes feel dry. I bought another Dell's 4K monitor S2722QC, upon switch from my old one my eyes are very uncomfortable and dry, after 30min usage tears went out so I returned the Dell one and orered this LG one. This one is GREAT with color and eye comforting, use it will not make my eyes uncomfortable.

I now use three 4k UHD monitors on my desktop computer. I initially started with one Crystal pro III Monoprice 4k monitor as my primary monitor and two HP 1080p monitors. I got tired of the resolutions not being the same as I moved my mouse pointer between monitors. I bought two LG 4k monitors to replace the HP FD 1080p monitors. Then I had three 4k monitors and the mouse movement between monitors was seamless. When I tried to play a Bluray movie I received an error message that it could not play because my monitor was not HDCP compliant. I ran a program to check my HDCP status on each monitor. The two LG monitors were compliant but the Monoprice monitor was not. My primary monitor needed to be HDCP compliant in order to play my Bluray movie on any of the monitors. I replaced the Monoprice monitor with this LG monitor and now everything works. This monitor also supports HDR. Update December 2022: This monitor died after just 3 months of usage. The time allowed for a return is only 30 days. I will be buying another monitor. Apparently I am not the only one that this has happened to. The next one I buy will not be made by LG! Update January 2023: I contacted LG support about their failed monitor. LG paid for shipping their broken monitor back for a free warranty repair. I received the monitor back in working condition at no cost to me. I added one star for good LG customer service. I thought of using this repaired 4k monitor as a small bar top monitor for Dish Network. Unfortunately, this monitor is not very good for off axis angle viewing. It works fine for a computer if you set it directly in front of where you are seated.

Been using for more than a year now, impressive colors and quality.

MACBOOK PRO kullanıyorsanız LG diğer ekranlardan daha başarılı netliği var, tek sorunu arıza vermesin :)

Monitör çok iyi! Ps5 ve XsX için almıştım, görüntü kalitesi, kullanım kolaylığı vb. çok memnun kaldım. Ancak 111-204 seri numarası ile başlayan monitörlerde kullanımdan 1-2 ay sonra çalışmama durumu oluyormuş, LG de kendi sitesinde yorumlara cevap olarak bu durumu belirtmiş. Ben bunu sonradan araştırarak öğrendim ve şu ana kadar bir sorun yaşamasam da iade talebinde bulundum.
