Great 1440p gaming monitor
Super nice budget 1440p gaming monitor. I was hesitant to upgrade for a while because I was afraid I wouldn't notice the difference coming from 1080p. I was wrong. This thing is SO crisp. Nice and smooth at 165hz, and the brightness is great (I have mine set at 83/100) It also has nice colors, and the blacks is pretty dark compared to most LCD monitors. The size was something I was concerned about, but you are able to slide the monitor up and down the arm of the stand that it comes with, which is really nice because you can line it up with monitors that aren't adjustable. All things considered its a great monitor for the price, and if you can pick it up on sale that's even better!

Awesome Monitor...After these changes! (Read Below)
I have been on a search for the best 1440p monitor and kept seeing this one listed as the defacto 'best screen for the money' monitor. After purchasing 3 other monitors, using them for a week or so and sending them back due to things that were impossible to ignore, i finally went with this monitor thinking it was the safest bet... ...and I hated it After everything I read about the picture quality, clarity and gaming performance I was more than disappointed in this screen. It had a yellowish tint and everything looked like it had a "bloom" effect added to it. I played with the settings, tried to find a decent ICC, played with the settings some more and still could not stand the way this monitor looked out of the box. Out of frustration, I ended up googling "Dell D2724G has yellowish tint" which lead me directly to a Reddit thread talking about this specific monitor and that issue. One of the commenters said to to fix this issue he had to do the following: On the monitor, go to the menu Scroll to Preset Modes Select Custom Color and then make the following changes: Set in Gain: R - 94% G - 92% B - 94% Set in Offset: R - 54% G - 56% B - 58-60% Then set the speed setting to 'Extreme' and save Once these changes were made, it was like an entirely different monitor. Ultra clear, super smooth, essentially everything I was looking for in the other monitors. If you get this monitor and are not in love with it out of the box, before wasting a day trying a bunch of separate profiles, give the settings above a try and see if this fixes the issue. This really has been an amazing monitor once I discovered and made those changes. Can't recommend this one enough

Super good value
Went from an older Samsung 27" curved display to this, and wow. Set it up and used the color settings recommended by another reviewer and I couldn't be happier with it for the price. I have been on a CS2 kick for a while now, and just with this monitor upgrade I would estimate my in-game performance to be 30-40% better at a minimum. I can react so much faster, and my aim seems to have gotten better since getting this display. Set to 165hz with a 160FPS cap and that is the sweet spot for me. If you want a budget gaming monitor, I doubt there is anything better than this. My only discomfort from all this was adjusting back to a flat panel after using a curved display for so many years.

Best Budget 1440p
Update: Dead pixel in under a year Incredible monitor. Stand is nice and small, picture beautiful. I upgraded from a 1080p TN panel after over 7 years so this was like night and day. Don't let anyone make you second guess because it's budget! No reason you need to spend extra hundreds of dollars to get some insane refresh rate you won't even see or some proprietary blast processing like gimmick. Only features it's missing that could matter are no USB ports or speakers. I play a ton of games ranging from CS2, Helldivers 2, Stellaris, Battlefield 2042, Warframe, Gmod and many others and have encountered no problems except when CS2 was Borderless Windowed it would flash oddly when switching to Discord but after setting it to normal Fullscreen that stopped. Could have been a CS2 issue and not the monitor though. I am using a 7600x and a 6700XT if that matters. Dell box arrived looking like it did a tour on Malevelon Creek, but monitor was in perfect condition inside of an oversized and packed with paper Amazon box.

Looks Good
Only had this for couple weeks but it is nice. Delivered without damage, and working without any issues. No dead pixels and picture is really good. Build quality is good along with general ergonomics. I am not a gamer, so can't speak to that. Also, have not attempted any calibration but looks fine. No knowledge of fine tuning a monitor so leaving that for now. Now it may have some shortcomings for some users but, for my needs it's nice, especially when I got it on sale.

Junk
I got this monitor about three months ago, took it out the box and installed it on its monitor arm where it sat peacefully and worked perfectly. When i first got the monitor i noticed two small dots on the top right, but didn’t think much of it since the monitor worked perfectly. Fast forward three months and the dead pixelation happened , I called dell since I was a week past my Amazon return policy and the customer service rep stated it was physical damage and that it it wasn’t covered. Funny enough the frame on the monitor is perfect, and of course me knowing I literally took it out the box and put it on an arm and let it be. It’s absurd that they simply refused to help, simply stating that i dropped it and that I was now the proud owner of a 300$ paperweight. I have another Dell monitor that has lasted years, which is why I bought this one as a second monitor but as you can see with my and others reviewed they have a huge QC issue and don’t want to admit it . Please if you work hard for your money and are looking to get something that isn’t only nice but will last look elsewhere.

Love this monitor
Amazing monitor for the price. I use it exclusively as a gaming monitor, the colors are beautiful its a great size for quickly scanning playing fps games with a high refresh rate and being 1440p

Perfect for me!
First off. I'm not a gamer. I bought this monitor to use for everyday computing. The only game I play is Microsoft Flight Simulator and I use it to keep my piloting skills honed. I wanted a monitor with good resolution, and this fit the bill perfectly, at a great price. I have no idea how it performs as a gaming monitor, but I would guess that it would be great. It's probably overkill for me.
