This dutch oven worked very well on top of a burner. I also used charcoeal on top to brown of some biscuits and everything came out great. I easily fed 15 people and had room to spare! Came double boxed with foam protectors on the feet. Shipped quickly and in one piece.

This is huge and could be so cool but I am underwhelmed! The material is very thin compared to my Lodge ovens. The lid fits so poorly that you could never hope to cook anything in it that needs to be sealed (the main point of most Dutch Oven dishes). No matter how I turn the lid on the oven, it just rocks with at least an eighth of an inch of play in the rocking. I bought it for deep frying french fries, so I guess for that it will suffice but I can't think of anything other than deep frying with no lid that this would be good for.

It is very heavy when full of food. Need two people to move off the fire when cooking is complete. The weight shouldn't be unexpected. This is simply a reminder that it is heavy.

It does the job and that's what counts. Bought this oven 11 months ago and I am satisfied with it. Whether cooking for a party of 40 or breakfast for a few folks, this oven can handle the job. I have only use mesquite wood so I don't make any notes on using charcoal. Add some fun in your next party with Kettle sweet popcorn. The Dutch oven took 1.5 cups of dry corn kennels.
