The top surface is a vinyl sticker so they cannot be sanded.

How much does it weigh?

It weighs about 2 lbs each. Very well made. My 10, 12 and 14 year old love it. Easy to set up on the patio for them to play. Great quality and a good purchase. Substantial and well made.
