This DeWalt battery-powered fan works great! It puts out a surprising amount of airflow, is lightweight, and is easy to move wherever I need it. The battery life has been excellent, especially with my larger DeWalt batteries. It's a perfect addition to my DeWalt collection and has already come in handy on job sites, in the garage, and around the house. If you're already invested in the DeWalt battery platform, I definitely recommend adding this fan to your toolbox.

Great fan - small, portable, good output, rugged build. Some point out this new model no longer has a cord plug-in option - but I don't care about that, I bought a cordless fan because I never want to use a cord, and I have plenty Dewalt batteries on hand - and this thing runs a long time on 4-5-6Ah batteries. If I could make a couple small tweaks I'd add a bit more resistance to the head-tilting and speed knob. But those are small gripes and I'd happily buy this fan again as-is.

This DEWALT 20V MAX portable fan has been a great purchase for us. We’ve used it at the beach, camping, and around the house, and it’s always performed really well. It does have a bit of bulk to it, but it’s absolutely worth it for the strong airflow it puts out. The wind speed is impressive for a cordless fan and makes a big difference, especially in hot weather. It was honestly a lifesaver for our baby at the beach and while camping, keeping things cooler and more comfortable. It also does a great job of keeping flies off while eating outdoors, which is a huge bonus. Overall, even though it’s a little on the bigger side, the performance more than makes up for it. Highly recommend for anyone spending time outdoors!

I had the original version (500 CFM) and they were somewhat powerful but this updated version is ALOT more powerful (650 CFM) than the previous. I was apprehensive about this fan being noticeably more powerful, but it definitely is! It moves a lot of air, and I actually ended up buying two of them because I use both of them so much! At work, playing sports on hot days, watching baseball games, in my house windows to circulate air. They are phenomenal fans and I used them ALOT. It was annoying that Dewalt removed the plug in option since there's alot of times that I have them blowing of spackle patches and could totally have them plugged in to save batteries. It does go through batteries pretty good since it's rated at 1.2amps. I normally put 9ah batteries in both fans and if they're going full blast all day, I'll have to replace the batteries just before the end of the day (probably last about 6ish hours on full blast with a 9ah)

Wow, I love this fan. I bought it for my studio apartment which is lacking plugs In convenient locations. Perfect size, works like a champ and looks like a durable DeWalt product. I can keep my wall unit set at 75 instead of 70 degrees Fahrenheit now. On the lowest setting it’s as cool as an arctic breeze. I’m a DeWalt consumer and have qty. 4; 2 hour, a 4hr and a 5hr 20v batteries. I usually don’t leave reviews, but this one is worth mentioning. Great buy, and had same day free delivery. Online shopping is both convenient and well, if you’re a shopaholic like me, then it’s a great buy. Worth the price, even at $100, which is apparently a sale price. Oh, forgot to mention, lowest setting is really quiet. I usually like the sound of a small fan, but a stealthy one like this is an exception. If you buy one, enjoy.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ This DEWALT fan is absolutely amazing! The build quality is outstanding, just like every other DEWALT tool I own. It delivers a strong airflow, is very quiet, and the adjustable speed settings are really useful. I use it in my garage, around the house, and even outdoors. It runs for a long time with a 5Ah battery, and the adjustable head lets you direct the airflow exactly where you need it. One of the best DEWALT tools I've purchased. Highly recommended!

I bought the DEWALT 20V MAX Cordless Fan as a gift for my husband, and it has honestly turned into one of the most-used tools in our house. He uses it in the garage and when he’s working outside, but I’ve found myself borrowing it constantly too! The airflow is seriously impressive for a cordless fan. It’s powerful, and moves a lot of air without being obnoxiously loud. (It is fairly loud at full speed) but, that’s what you get for a jobsite fan and one that moves this much air!! The fact that it runs on the 20V batteries we already have is a huge bonus — just pop one in and it’s ready to go anywhere. No cords to drag around. I’ve used it on the patio, in the kitchen when cooking, and even during power outages. It’s lightweight, easy to carry, and the adjustable head makes it simple to aim exactly where you need it. If you’re already in the DEWALT battery system, this is a no-brainer.

I'm currently updating my power tools to be as completely cordless as possible. I felt the technology of cordless tools would reach a balance of price vs power/dependability at such time I would pull the trigger. I was gifted a Dewalt DC759 drill many years ago. It has never let me down but the old NiCad batteries leave alot to be desired. The DCE512B is my first Dewalt cordless tool purchase and it's awesome. I'm running a 1.7 Ah Powerstack and it just sips the charge. Granted, I just got it but I have yet to drain the battery. It's powerful for it's size and is as quiet as you can expect any fan to be. I compared the DCE512B to Milwaukee's 0886-20 cordless fan and don't understand why Milwaukee only offers a three speed setting when Dewalt has variable speed settings. You may not think this is important but dialing fan speed to it's usage is a key factor for me. This one feature makes Dewalt a superior fan from Milwaukee's. I just wish Dewalt kept the corded plug-in on the newer model but it's not a deal breaker as it is a 'cordless' fan.
