The Nutcracker

Loved reading this with my grandchildren, beautiful pictures

This is a beautifully written and illustrated book. Nice size and quality. I bought it for an adult friend who loves The Nutcracker and collects books.

Beautiful book! We have all 3 of these (Sleeping Beauty, Swan Lake, and The Nutcracker). My child and I love all 3. Story and illustrations are wonderful. Perfect for ballet lovers to learn about classic ballet stories. I wish they would make more! Cinderella would be a nice one to add. I would buy more if they made them. My child is 5 and loves these books. I'm 26 and love them. Only problem I have with this book is they named her Marie and not Clara. My child has been in Nutcracker ballets and knows the main characters name is Clara. When I read it I say Clara instead of Marie. But besides that beautifully captivating book.

As a family we are as nutcracker obsessed as they come, our go to reading book has been the Mary Engelbreit's version till now. I recently bought this book because it's based on the NYC Ballet/Balanchine nutcracker, so I figured it would be a nice way to prepare my youngest daughter who will see the show for the first time this year as well as a nice keepsake for the rest of the family. The book came out being way beyond my expectations: the illustrations are beautiful, whimsical and fascinating, inspired to the NYC ballet's scenery and costumes but at the same time very free and creative, this is not an exact rendition - that would almost have been disappointing at this point - of what the Balanchine Ballet looks like, while it does respect the chronology and different clou moments, it's different and lovely. This just became my very favorite nutcracker book, can't wait to share it with my daughters.

I bought this for my daughter for Christmas. The hardcover is good but the dusk jacket was damaged. Too late to return

Edges of the book spoiled. it seems book is returned from first customer, they handle it badly and return. It looks like Old book.

Very nice book, my 3 yo got it for Xmas and loves it! Drawings are nice and the story is easy to read and understand for a toddler.
