2003 Ranger, worked perfect
worked as it should, those complaining shouldn't DIY, if you can't figure out something so simple.... 2003 Ford Ranger

It Fit. It Clicked. It Worked.
No drama, no splicing circusโฆ this harness clipped right into my 2002 Ford Econoline E250 like it was born there. Made the new deck install way easier, and I didnโt have to channel my inner electrician to get it done. It did exactly what it was supposed to, and I didnโt end up with any mystery wires left hanging.

Ford stereo swap
Installed in my 2007 Ford Escape for a clean and quick install. Clean sound and high quality cable & terminal for the harness connection. No problems with data transfer or sound quality whatsoever. Recommend using crimps to connect cables, do not use electrical tape for best quality sound.

This is all you need for a 2004 Ford Ranger
Fit perfectly in my 2004 Ford Ranger XLT with no unused wires. The Illumination wire (orange wire) properly dims my aftermarket touchscreen when I toggle the headlights. About as plug-and-play as it gets! Hard to go wrong with Metra brand, Iโve used their products for years! Three things to note about the install: 1. The Metra brand double-din install kit for this vehicle positions the radio too far into the dash for aftermarket radios with volume knobs, so I went with the PAC-FMK552 kit ($10 at BestBuy). The new radio sits flush with easier access to volume knob and controls. 2. The dash bezel will need to be trimmed, regardless of which brand of install kit you get. The Ford factory radio is slightly smaller than the standard double-din, so trimming is a result of the factory radio being smaller than standard. I removed the bezel from the vehicle so I could sit in the garage with the aftermarket radio and test fit it as I worked on it. You only need to remove the 1/8โ lip on the top and bottom of the radio hole in the factory bezel. This minimal trimming is made easy with a Dremel tool equipped with a routing bit. Took me about 15 minutes to get a perfect fit. 3. After several hours of searching forums with no answer, I found out that you DO NOT need an adapter for the AM/FM antenna on this vehicle. The factory antenna plug in the 2004 Ranger is the standard Motorola plug that most antenna adapters adapt to. So, the factory antenna plug fits directly into most aftermarket radios.

Perfect adaptor for 2008 Ford Ranger
Exact fit for my 2008 Ford Ranger. Colors match perfectly for aftermarket stereo This plug is for power, key on, illumination, and 4 speakers. Basically all you need. If your stock radio also has a square plug in use, that one is for optional amplifier, subwoofer, satellite radio, and aux input jack. Not needed in most cases.
