This is a battery operated clock. I love it - no electric cord to plug into a wall, etc. The face is large and the numbers are very easy to read.

Are the measurements including the black trim?

The 10" clock that I ordered measures 10" across and that is including the black trim.

How do you stop this clock from spinning? Ive set the clock several times and the second hand keeps spinning fast.

I haven't had that problem with my clock, but you should either return it or contact the factory. This shouldn't happen & I"m sure the factory would like to know & should replace your clock.
